Swanbio gene therapy study
Anyone know how this study is going? I did a google search and there was something posted a few days ago but you had to buy the report. $500. I’m very interested but information seems hard to come by. It doesn’t sound like it would repair damage but stop or slow the disease. I wonder if it would eliminate

AAV-GAD Gene Therapy
Did anyone hear of AAV-GAD
gene
therapy
? I have a chance to get into a phase 1/2 trial, but information is somewhat limited. The original developing company went bankrupt, and a new company bought the rights to the therapy.

BBB opening with focused ultrasound in nonhuman primates and Parkinson’s disease patients:
They can now briefly open select spots in the brain barrier using focused ultrasound and deliver larger particles like
gene
therapy
(in microbubbles). So it would allow for minimally invasive, early treatment of neurological disorders. https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.adf4888?

FDA Investigating 'Serious Risk' of Malignancy After CAR-T Therapy - Applies to all approved therapies, but benefits still outweigh risks
"Finally, we know that cancer immunotherapy such as checkpoint blockade for solid tumors, which does not rely on
gene

Genetic therapy: for solid malignancy hopefully soon
ok, I post them also because they are fellow Italians! But the platform is very promising even if clinical use has been approved only for glioma and glioblastoma at the moment. But there are clinical trials going on for solid tumors, prostate included. https://www.genenta.com/wp-content/uploads/2021
