Reply to jersey-jazz. I thought you might also be interested in my medical history.
After five months, progression and she gave me option of
gemcitabine
plus Herceptin or clinical trials. That’s the time when she told me I don’t have many options left. I am going to have this chemo next Tuesday as my first cycle. Thanks for reading my long long medical history.

Scan update
Our ONC has already suggested
Gemcitabine
and carboplatin moving forwards but we think we should stick to Capecitabine for a while, maybe up the doseage (currently low at 1000mg/m) and monitor symptoms and scan in March.

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Does anyone have experience of EP0057? With or without olaparib?
I now have a choice of 'standard' carboplatin +
gemcitabine
, or a trial with a nanoparticle drug conjugate (which delivers chemo agent camptothecin) with the unalluring name of EP0057 (plus more olaparib).

Carboplatin/Gemcitabine
I start
gemcitabine
on its own (day eight) tomorrow, Tuesday, and symptoms do seem to be abating somewhat but I am wondering if I am going to have another five or six days of chemo brain etc or weather any ladies found the
gemcitabine
by itself better to tolerate.

Pain on Gemzar/Gemcitabine
Hello ladies, I'm currently on single agent Gemzar/
Gemcitabine
and have started having agonising stomach and back pain which starts about six hours after my infusion and carries on for about six to eight hours thereafter.

Triple negative breast cancer with bone only mets
Originally had 4 x TC chemo + double mastectomy and then 6 x
gemcitabine
+ carboplatin and radiation when I had a local recurrence. They say if those chemos didn’t work then there is nothing else they can give me till it spreads outside the bones (e.g. liver, lungs, brain).

Update on Spiraling Scans....
The chemo recommended is more specifically-
gemcitabine
/oxaliplatin (GemOx) based on the report of a phase II trial by JL Lee et al (Br J Cancer. 2014 May 13;110(10):2472-8). PSA response rate was 55% (95% CI, 38-72) and radiologic response rate was 82% (9 out of 11).

Can anyone tell me how difficult
Gemcitabine
is to cope with please? I may be offered a place on a trial that includes
Gemcitabine
& a trial drug, & I need to decide whether to go for it or not if they say I'm well enough for it.

Question about Gemzar aka Gemcitabine Hcl
Curious and looking for those who have experience with Gemzar. I have been on Abraxane for four months, but my liver numbers and tumor markers have taken a rather abrupt u-turn in the last month, so tomorrow we switch to Gemzar. I would be so grateful for any shared wisdom as well as prayers. I also

3 Holidays on NHS this year
Megace I was taking & told me there is no further treatment except for possibly consideration of a trial with
Gemcitabine
& a trial drug, with no guarantee I would be well enough to be considered for it after my recent health problems. I have a face to face appointment in 5 weeks at Addenbrookes.

Disease progression & anaemia
So I've ended up agreeing to be considered for the Acorn trial, a trial of a combination of a trial drug &
Gemcitabine
. I had previously been reluctant, as I didn't want to be immunocompromised during the coronavirus pandemic, & would have preferred any alternative to more chemo anyway.

Help with Non Hodkin’s Lymphoma
I’m on Retuximab, dexamethasone,
Gemcitabine
and Cisplatin. I have been recommended to get a second opinion from Prof Paul Fields. If anyone has any helpful comments they would be very gratefully received. Thank you

No more NED for me!!!
Starting Xeloda (pill) or
Gemcitabine
(intravenously) I was on Kisqali for 22 rounds and was NED for 15 months. Very grateful for that. I will definitely get a second opinion maybe at MD Anderson. Any recommendations for Breast Cancer Specialist there?

Questions for early stage trials
This is the last treatment I can have locally as I have exhausted all they have to offer: debulking surgery, taxol, carboplatin, Avastin, Caelyx,
Gemcitabine
, Niraparub, Letrozole, Exemestane. I am now platinum resistant and am also BRCA negative.

Treatment for platinum resistant mucinous ovarian cancer?
She recommended a monotherapy with
Gemcitabine
, but I have read that drug combinations work better than a monotherapy alone. For those of you who are platinum resistant and / or mucinous dominant, what drugs have worked for you? Are you familiar with any suitable clinical trial that I may join?
