Pain on Gemzar/Gemcitabine

Hello ladies,

I'm currently on single agent Gemzar/Gemcitabine and have started having agonising stomach and back pain which starts about six hours after my infusion and carries on for about six to eight hours thereafter. I've resorted to an hourly 5ml dose of oramorph during these episodes, but it doesn't even touch the pain.

I've not spoken to my team about this (I'm worried treatment will be stopped) but I can't find it on any list of known side effects.

Has anyone here had this issue? x

PS I think your supposed to take oramorph every 2 hours but did you know that paracetemol can make the oramorph more effective.
