Firmagon and Zytiga
Medications are controlling PSA to a non detectable level for my Metastatic Prostate Cancer. Considering going off Zytiga. Also any thoughts on Orgovyx vs Firmagon. I do not like present side effects: hot flashes, fatigue and tiredness.

what a conundrum! Is it PMR or NOT
No injuries, just stress
fractures
from osteoporosis resulting from a 5 &1/2 year prednisone use averaging about 15mg daily. I received a hip/groin steroid shot under fluoroscopy . It has been 6 days and not a lot of relief is being felt. They said it could take up to 10 days.

Update on my GCA/Large vessel vasculitis journey: off pred and back to normal (with TCZ)
I have been diagnosed with GCA/LVV in February of this year. My main symptoms were fever and fatigue and I had CRP values of up to 80 and an ESR of 100. I am living in Germany and here it is a standard scheme to start with pred (40 mg in my case) and Actemra (Tocilizumab) weekly injections. I feel that

Slight PSA Rise Immediately (two weeks) After HDR Brachytherapy

Alendronic acid or not?
Fifteen months ago when I started Pred, my GP insisted I took Alendronic acid to avoid osteoporosis. I asked for a Dexa scan first, which he refused, so I did not take Alend. acid . Today he has again put pressure on me to accept this medication. When I mentioned Dexa scan again he agreed this time

No more Calcium supplements
The John Hopkins medical Centre and ROS both advise that calcium is always better absorbed from natural food sources rather than supplements and that in actual fact, the effectiveness of supplements in preventing
fractures
is probably not significant enough to make any useful difference!
