Fostair 200 and chest tightness
Hi I take two puffs twice a day of
fostair
200 and it seems to be causing me chest tightness recently. Was fine for the first 6 weeks on it but now had chest tightness for last week. Breathing is fine though. I went off it for a day to see if it was the
fostair
and I didn't get it.

Newbie any advice would help
The respiratory team put me back on 40mg of pred, but my immune system started to break down, and got internal bleeding as the steroids aggravated my ulcer, so I have come off the steroids, I have been put on a new inhaler
fostair
and my blue one and montulkest at night.

Shortness of breath at rest
However, prior to changing inhalers from
Fostair
100 to the 200 I would get shortness of breath at rest and when lying down. That has now stopped due to the higher dose of steroids. That is obviously a good thing but I am intrigued why that would be the case.

Spiolto Respimat
Evening all.My new consultant has taken me off both
Fostair
and Braltus and prescribed Spiolto Respimat.I must confess that neither
Fostair
or Braltus ever appeared to have any immediate effect on me but obviously they are both maintenance meds so maybe i didn,t notice their effectiveness over the long

Life insurance with severe asthma
On Ventolin/
Fostair
Nexthaler/Spiriva/Phyllocontin but not continuous pred. Was on montelukast but cons thinks it's useless and took me off. I've had about 23 full admissions in total over 4-5 years. No HDU or ITU.

And it was going so well.........
That wasn't a problem, I stopped taking Ventolin as I was ok without it and the pain in the bones has gone and the cramps are fewer, ( still taking the
Fostair
though) however yesterday and now today I am very breathless and coughing all the time, so I guess it's back on the Ventolin again.

Question about quorn
Firstly I've been asthmatic since I was very young and manage it using
fostair
once in the morning and ventolin when required. About 2 weeks ago my wife and I made chicken fajitas using quorn chicken pieces. Tasted great, but that evening and during the night I just couldn't take a full breath.

I was on
fostair
1 puff a day and never used my blue inhaler ever..... Till November when I was coughing and short of breath for weeks. After 2 lots of antibiotics and a course of steroids it finally settled.

Newbie having a tough time
I went from the brown qvar beclometasone inhaler to the pink
fostair
beclametasone/formoterol preventer about 4 years ago after I kept getting chest infections and it helped. However, I've now had two pretty bad flare ups of my asthma in the last 4 months.

Do I have asthma?
The nurse put me on new
Fostair
inhaler last week and mentioned that if this doesn't work then we might need to look at other issues rather than asthma.; the
Fostair
inhaler hasn't made a difference.

Inhalers
I take 4 inhalers,
Fostair
200/6, Spiriva Reptimist and Ventolin with a Fluticasone Nasal spray. My asthma nurses have advised a nebuliser for emergency use but NHS no longer fund. Does anyone else find these expensive
