hi everyone, I have been on fostair since January and I have noticed I get lots of bruising on my body but have no idea how I get them- I can only think its the fostair as I didn't get bruising before. Has anyone else experienced this? I can get bruises on my legs and arms which are almost in a line. Thanks for any help.

Hi

Bruising is common with any steroid inhaler.

On my arms the bruise are inline with the door handles, i seem to constantly bang into.I use Fostair, but had the bruises with Seretide.

Hi I used to have a lot of bruises on my legs when I was on Seratide ...... a year go they changed me to duo respimat and all seemed fine until 2 months ago then the bruises started again...... it's all a side effect of the steroid inhalers..... I just wake up in a morning and there, there, may clear up for a few weeks but then come back again Xxx

I use Fostair and get loads of bruising from working as an engineer, as @stone-UK has posted "Bruising is common with any steroid inhaler". It is unsightly, but I willingly trade that off to be able to function at reasonably level because of using Fostair.

I also have to be careful if I get a cut near any of the bruises, not to put a plaster over them because I take aspirin (to thin my blood) and that has made my skin rather thin and it can tear easily when removing the plaster and tearing open a bruise is definitely not a good idea.
