Combisal vs Fostair
My usual prescription of
Fostair
100/6 (2 puffs twice a day) and daily Montelukast has not been working well enough.

I was prescribed
fostair
100/6 to try instead. Guess what? All of the problems I had faced for over a year just disappeared! I have never in my 75 years experienced such clear evidence of side effects caused by a medication of any sort. What were the side effects?

How do I know if my asthma is mild/moderate etc?
I have just been given
Fostair
200/6 inhaler instead of my usualAirFluSal and continue to take montelucast, mometasone nasal spray and an antihistamine. GP says if this doesn't work she will refer me on.

Clenil and potassium
Hello everyone, I’ve just picked up a new inhaler (
fostair
) and haven’t taken it yet but have read the leaflet. It says something about risk of low potassium which made me wonder if my clenil inhaler has also got a similar risk but I haven’t seen anything specifically about it.

How to increase peak flow
Asthma nurse then moved me onto
fostair
100/6. I have 2 puffs morning, 2 puffs lunch and 2 puffs evening and my peak flow increased to 350 however this is still a stretch from my optimum which should be 420.

Asthma advice
I've had my medication changed to 1 x
fostair
100 in the morning and montelukast in the evening to clear the cough/mucus. My peak flow is still around 350 - 370. 370 is the odd day at best.

Detoxing off steroid inhaler... Fostair?! Anybody had experience of this?
Hi All, Does anyone have any experience of coming off steroid inhalers particularly
fostair
, it didn't agree with me at all, so had to come off it after taking doses for 2 days, but breathing has become quite difficult, which it wasn't when I went on it and I just used to take the blue ventolin inhaler

Quick question
I’ve been taking
Fostair
inhaler with spacer for nearly a week now, I think it is helping so far, although it made me shaky the first few times of taking it, and I get a mild tickly throat. I also have ventolin as needed. 1.

Asthma control post covid - are my expectations unrealistic?
I am currently on
fostair
2 X 200 am and pm, braltus, montelukast, cetirazine, dymista and ventolin. I've had 4 short courses of pred since April and am now on a one month reducing course.

Struggling with Covid and asthma.
This is despite being on 40mg of pred since Monday plus max dose of
Fostair
, Spiriva, montelukast and loads of Ventolin. Phoned 111 last night and they told me to go to A&E. Sats were 84 when after I walked in there but improved a bit when I had been sat down a while.

A bit fed up
Since then I’ve accumulated medications - now on
Fostair
200/6 2 puffs twice a day, montelukast, Spiriva Respimat, Uniphyllin Continus 500mg a day and Ventolin as a rescue inhaler.

Changing to Fostair
I feel so pleased that I’m now going to be given
Fostair
on a MART regime (is this the right word?) and have the chance to hopefully change things for the better.
