Really Struggling with Fostair
My heart pounds and my hands shake after the
Fostair
. I'm very headachy too. My chest feels tight whenever I lay down and my back is very sore and tight. I assume it's the muscles? So far all I've noticed are the side affects from the
Fostair
. I just feel really low at the moment.

COPD or Asthma ???
Had ambulance to take to me to A & E, had used 3 lots of Prednisone and was eventually prescribed
Fostair
which helped a lot and settled problems. Was also given app to see respiratory consultant. Following this app and another spirometry test was told I didn't have COPD but Asthma.

Switch to MART fostair from seretide
Having been on seretide 250mg for a good few years, as well as added in spiriva respimat, fexofenadine, montelukast and nasal spray (recent change to dymista), have been switched onto
fostair
100/6 MART. According to my plan, its 2 puffs twice daily, plus an extra 4 as and when.

Another inhaler change... Steroid Card or not?
So, the
Fostair
really wasn't working out for me (https://healthunlocked.com/asthmauk/posts/146157097/seretide-to-
fostair
) so I was back to the nurse who has now given me a new inhaler - this time it's a Relvar 182/22.

Managing trial seasonal reduction of inhaler
However, I started reducing, to 3 puffs of
Fostair
200/6 in 24 hours from 4 puffs, and now, of course, I don’t know if that stopped my PF improving or if it is caused by my reduction in
Fostair
intake or not.

Duo Resp Spiromax
I was taking seretide for years and then went on to
Fostair
which was no good. In previous years I have been short of breath for several weeks from March until end of June. I have had the odd blip which lasted a few days. I take more medication for my asthma, ABPA and bronchiectasis.

Mucus Problem
I have been using a
fostair
inhaler for a couple of years combined with nasal sprays/nasal rinse. My doctor prescribed antihistamine but this had little effect. I have a reliever inhaler but try not to use it. The symptoms are gradually getting worse.

Any alternative to clenil modulite?
I’ve tried
fostair
and didn’t get on with the long acting asthma drugs (LABAs). I’ve heard of QVAR which is finer particles - is it worth the switch or no? Beginning to loose hope with controlling my asthma as i’m really passionate about my football but my asthma is holding me back :( any advice?

I'm on
Fostair
200/6 2 puffs twice a day and 2 additional puffs if needed, Ventolin and Montelukast for my Asthma, and she also added something called Carbocisteine. Has anyone been on that? I'm also on a lot of other medications, including anti histamines and mast cell stabilisers.

From clenil modulite to Fostair
I have also had my clenil modulite changed to
Fostair
. Just wanted to ask what your experiences have been with
Fostair
? Is it a ‘stronger’ inhaler than clenil and any advice of what you have experienced would be much appreciated! Also when do you take your night puffs?

I'm currently taking
Fostair
200/6 2 puffs twice a day and an additional 2 puffs as needed, Montelukast, Ventolin, a bunch of antihistamines (also carry Epi-Pens), steroid nasal spray (Nasonex) and will be starting Carbocisteine on Monday. I do daily nasal rinses as well.

CT scan results
I have been prescribed various corticosteroid inhalers, which do not seem to help much - most recent one being
Fostair
Nexthaler.

Seretide to Fostair?
I've also had really strange dreams, which I think is because the
Fostair
makes me shake like mad so I'm still trembling when I go to sleep after my night-time dose! Has anyone experienced anything similar?
