So in the last few months i was changed from seritide to

I saw the consultant on Friday who changed me from
fostair

However I think that that there is a
fostair
100/6 so I think that will suit me. I spoke to asthma UK after my asthma review as there is always questions on I have.

Is this an attack brewing, and if so, what can I do prevent it?
I am taking my
Fostair
2x a day, 12 hours apart. I am nearly done with the second week of going dairy free, under doctor's orders. Last week I was feeling great. Night time coughing, tickly throat, acidy burps and eczema were all gone. I was full of energy.

Asthma likely to progress to COPD?
Well-controlled on
Fostair
. Had it since I was a child (with a break in my late 20s to early 40s, now 50). Asked the consultant today if it is likely to keep progressing and become COPD and he pursed and wriggled his lips and then said "well it MAY not", if you keep taking your steroids.

Consultant appointment
They have changed my
fostair
200/6 to symbicort 200/6 so I can take it more than twice a day. They've started me on low dose long term steroid. They want to rule out bronchectasis so have requested CT scan and want me to go back for full lung function test. Back to see them in a month.

New inhaler dispenser. Bit annoyed.
It just seems a bit rude given I'd been in only this evening and told I could increase my
Fostair
200/6 to 8 puffs a day (after a month of poor control) and given a rescue pack for if it gets worse.

Now that I have started this medication I am aware that it is working better than the old Spiriva Respimat and
Fostair
. What is the opinion of others who have changed?

Could not speak to a GP as they were all busy but sorted out a prescription for
Fostair
by fax. The local Pharmacist was very helpful. He said that he could see why I took extra but I had overdosed with both, and not to do it again! My prescription has just been picked up for me.

Alternatives to Prednisolone?
I take my inhalers as prescribed (
Fostair
, Ventolin), X-ray and CT scan (all clear), and am due to visit the GP this week. I've been told at a recent hospital visit that I need to go back on Prednisolone.

Tight chest but good Blood oxygen levels
(
Fostair
& Montelukast) But I am still puzzled by the fact that I can feel so tight chested and breathless some days, but my blood oxygen level is 99%! How is this possible? I've been like that for over a year. Does anyone else have this?
