Harefield have said I’m a good candidate for a lung transplant and once I’ve signed the forms I can go on the list!!!! We all know this is a double edged sword!!! Happy I’m viable but scared about the possible outcome!!!
2 weeks ago I saw my consultant, a locum at my usual hospital, Barnet. I asked to try Fostair as someone had recommended it to me. I now take the same amount as I did of Symbicort but I take it through a spacer.
My peak flow has gone up by 50 😃
On the peak flow meter I use, I’m usually between 200 and 250, averaging 230, in the last week, I’m now blowing 250-300 averaging 280 😃
Does anyone know if my peak flow could have improved? ( FEV 1 19%) 🤞 and do you think I should ring the hospital to tell them about my peak flow improvement?
Love to all xx❤️

So lovely to hear from you. It's great that your peak flow has improved. When is your next appointment at the hospital? If it's not far off you could tell them then. I hope your wait for lungs is not long, though I understand completely about the feeling of "double edged sword". Have a lovely weekend. xx 🌞🍀
I not sure about the new medication but if you have been offered a transplant go for it. I got really bad with copd and was put on the transplant list. This I had 5 years ago and it has given me a new life. Any questions I.l be happy to answer x
