So i had spirometry done which came back abnormal (consultant still hasn't said what the result actually was 🙄) and has now put me on alvesco. So i am now taking Fostair 200/6, alvesco and montelukast. Has anyone used alvesco and how did you get on with it? My asthma is unpredictable and hard to control, and often told weird! I would just love to finally find a med that settles things down. I have also developed hayfever out of the blue, could this be linked to my asthma symptoms?

Hi Melanie

I am on Fostair 200 alongside Alvesco prescribed by my consultant, also take fexofenadine 180mg , Dymista, Montelukast & blue inhaler when required, I get hay fever & severe asthma related directly to the hay fever. It seems to keep me under reasonable control, the two preventive inhalers contain steroids & are - to my knowledge - only prescribed by consultants. Hope they work for you, keep safe & keep well x

I have no experience with alvesco but I did develop hay fever (tree pollen) about 6 years ago, I know obviously it can trigger asthma but for me I get no asthma problems with my hay fever so it is not a given.

Hi Melanie , I am on Montelukast I take it in a morning as it gave nightmares and hallucinations if I took it at night , but I have no experience of alvesco , I also take fexafenadine for asthma related hay fever symptoms.
