I’m on budesonide/
formoterol
(Symbicort 400/12) two puffs twice a day and Salbutamol as a reliever. I have no energy and can’t walk very far. The consultant saw me once and has sent me for physio which is taking a long time as they keep cancelling.

Fostair and Levothyroxine Interactions?
Medicines for treating Parkinsons disease (L-dopa), to treat an underactive thyroid gland (L-thyroxine), medicines containing oxytocin and alcohol - Can lower your hearts tolerance to beta-2 agonists, such as
formoterol
. Lower your hearts tolerance, any idea what it means by that?

Flare up
This dose seems drastic and takes me to the maximum daily dose of
formoterol
. What do you think? I took this dose last night and I had heart palpitations, was very shaky and I felt drowsy and a headache came on. I felt quite unwell, and still felt that way in the morning. It hadn't worn off.

Will the need to clear my throat go?
She changed my preventer from Clenil Modulite to a MART inhaler, Fostair (beclometasone and
formoterol
). I used it last night and had an uninterrupted night's sleep. Hooray! The cough is also gone this morning, apart from a constant need to clear my throat.

Has anybody fond Formoterol Oxis etc to be better with less reflux or indigestion?
I'm trying to find a reliever that is less of a problem for reflux and wondered how if anyone has has found
formoterol
to be better? I have tried the combination Seretide, Ventolin and Serevent and they all give me really bad reflux. I'm on a PPI etc but it only makes it just about bearable.

Dr prescribed dry powder inhaler and I bought a MDI inhaler
So, I got prescribed Fostair (beclometasone +
formoterol
) for asthma via dry powder inhaler (device name Nexthaler). Once in the pharmacy, the pharmacist told me that Fostair 100mcg was available with two different devices: Nexthaler and MDI.

Severe attack
Sent home with chlorphenamine and budesonide/
formoterol
. Instant reaction to the steroids pain in elbows, feeling of lump on throat and scratchy sensation, difficulty swallowing and wheeze, feeling very drowsy, like lungs on fire and very heavy, BP down from my normal 150/90 average to 121/70.

Your Meds (Strong Recommendation)
Even though
Formoterol
appeared in the 'Moderate' Category, it seems that - for someone like me who takes the Maximum Dose Allowed for Fostair - the 'risk level' is more likely to be in the 'High' Category.

Newbie having a tough time
I went from the brown qvar beclometasone inhaler to the pink fostair beclametasone/
formoterol
preventer about 4 years ago after I kept getting chest infections and it helped. However, I've now had two pretty bad flare ups of my asthma in the last 4 months.

Symbicort 100/6 versus AssiemEMite 80/4.5
Where with google translation it says:- AssiemEMite 80/4.5 "Each delivered dose (the dose that leaves the mouthpiece) contains: budesonide 80 micrograms / inhalation and
formoterol
fumarate dihydrate 4.5 micrograms / inhalation.

Hi all
I've been prescribed
formoterol
fumarate and cetirizine, I'm already taking monteleukast and salbutamol. I guess it's OK to combine these. Hoping it works naturally. My concern is the interactions with levothyroxine for my thyroid and citalopram antidepressant.

Nurse takes blue inhaler away!
She has taken for quite sometime Budesonide/
Formoterol
(turbohaler) as a preventor. At her asthma check up at the university doctors (1st one), the nurse has taken her blue inhaler off her and told her to use her preventor as this too has relievers in it.
