Anyone feel wierd flopping sensation down below when they go to loo..
But i dont know much about constipation, i eat tonnes of fibre and drink enough as my urine is pale yellow so i dont know why this is happening other than dairy free and low
fodmap
. Fodmaps do seem to be helping. Making me question why the hell they are prescribing this diet.

Really struggling
I have not been able to take thyroxine when I was diagnosed in March 2021, ended up on low
FODMAP
and with a homeopath and naturopath but went from 9 st 5 to 7 stone 11 when doctors got concerned. Every time I tried to include a food back in diet I was worse.

FODMAP
Google
FODMAP
. There are certain compounds in foods that can cause ibs. There are apps that can tell you what to eat to avoid an excess of these compounds that can exacerbate ibs. Helped me a lot with ibs

She has told me to follow a
FODMAP
diet and lower my carb intake, but my diet has always been the same. I’m really struggling with being able to cut things out to find “triggers” because they don’t happen often.

advise please
Followed
FODMAP
for a while but lost so much weight, i am struggling to eat enough foods that don’t affect me. I have seen digestive enzymes can be an issue, can anyone advise on this please. Getting really concerned about food limitations.

Incomplete Evacuation and Diarrhoea
I was diagnosed with IBS in 2020 when symptoms started, tried
fodmap
diet, mebeverine, linseeds, anitbiotics for suspected SIBO, antidepressants but no positive improvement. Recent Fecal Calprotectin was significantly raised at 361ug, but colonoscopy and biopsies returned normal.

Family difficulties
I’ve recently fallen out with my mum because she won’t stop suggesting whatever I’ve eaten that day is causing the problem - I’ve told her this isn’t helpful and is demonising food types (I follow
fodmap
and avoid the usual triggers).

5 weeks on from rifamixin for SIBO and IBS C.
I try to keep with the low
fodmap
diet but not totally. Thankfully my pains have reduced (I do wonder if some of that was linked to the laxatives) and the bloating I can get under my ribs is more manageable with gaviscon.

SIBO and antibiotics
I have tried to work with low
fodmap
diet previously but without much success. My test with lactose was “equivocal” but a following one with glucose was positive - and I do agree from observing how I react to food that this is how the symptoms affect me.

My question is do I need to stick to low
FODMAP
diet while taking medicine or can I eat any food? Also how do I know if certain food has caused the symptoms/ flare up? How long does the food take to show symptoms so that I avoid that food in future? Kindly share your experience.

I then saw a private Nutritionist who put me on hhd
FODMAP
diet and later a private gastroenterologist. I then had tests for Microbiome and Zonulin levels.

I'm a bit miffed, as I've been following a Low
Fodmap
, anti- inflammatory, pescatarian diet for as long as I can remember. Is there a thyroid link? I'm still on just 50mcg Levo. I've got an appointment with a new endo next month and just wondered if this is connected to hypothyroidism in any way? 🤔

Belly be gone
I should add that I brisk-walk 40 mins each day and follow the Monash Uni
FODMAP
plan. I see my specialist every 3 months, but he is not sympathetic to my 'vanity' concern and changing drugs. I think that he is more concerned with the platelet numbers and not the scales.

Low FODMAP diet trial
Can anyone recommend a good guide to the best low
FODMAP
foods to eat? I'm also getting constipated without the amounts of fibre and vegetables I'd normally consume. What's an appropriate laxative whilst doing a food trial? Thanks in advance.

Desperate need for help and advice
I’ve tried to follow a
FODMAP
diet. However, I continue to live with episodes of night sweats, severe pain in my left side, random stabbing/shooting pains, constipation, stools full of yellow/brown mucus, aches and fatigue.

Windeze (simeticone) is no use (only paracetamol does anything) , I try to follow
FODMAP
diet and am really struggling to work out where it comes from. Was it the foolish spoonful of peas, was there too much wheat in the bread and so on?

Has anyone read Fibre Fuelled? Does it help IBS?
I have also downloaded the
FODMAP
app by the M university, but seems like it’s only for US? Has that been of help to anyone? Anyone in the UK too? Thanks
