entering an anxious time
Hello everyone. I am in a very anxious time right now as my husband is in the hospital with heart-related symptoms. He previously had 9 stents put in 17 years ago, as well as a triple bypass in 2020. He has what are called "silent MI's" (silent heart attacks) in that they don't show up on any non-invasive

CBD as a replacement for lorazepam
has anyone on here tried to use CBD to help with a benzodiazepine tolerance and eventually eliminating the need for benzodiazepines altogether? If so please tell me all about it please ❤️

Alcoholism
Hi.Another member from the mental support forum suggested joining. My alcoholism came on quite suddenly, just after my Father passed away on 04/04/2022. Then 1 month later I had to have a heart operation. Since then my life has literally fallen apart. I used to be very physically active, dinghy

Cirrhosis, HE and lorazepam
hello everyone Hoping for some guidance from you lovely people. Does anyone know if lorazepam should be given to someone with cirrhosis and hepatic encephalopathy. I’m sure I read somewhere that any benzodiazepines shouldn’t be taken and could bring on an HE episode.

Seroquel for anxiety?
Has anyone been on Seroquel to help with generalized anxiety disorder? I was on paroxetine, then had to switch to sertraline 100mg. That was supplemented with buspirone and lorazepam o.5mg. Neither helped. Now I'm taking 25mg Seroquel twice a day. This is day 4. It feels like maybe it's helping a little

Propranalol or Bisoprolol
I had Afib for the first time at the beginning of December …and was put on Apixaban. I will be having an echocardiogram scan in due course. In A&E the doctor told me to continue with my BP meds of Indapamide 2.5mg and Propranolol. I had an assessment two days later and another ECG …by then

Merry Christmas!
Well, I had my mask making and CT scan last Monday, MRI the previous week (no results yet), and I have my Lorazepam in hand ready to start 5 weeks of radiotherapy on 9th Jan, so I'm now ready to enjoy Christmas and the New Year's Eve party. May I wish all my fellow ANers a very Merry Christmas and

Zytiga side effects, is it worth it?
I started Lupron about 3 months ago. I was doing alright on just Lupron but then my MO started me on Zytiga about six weeks ago. Since then I have started having severe leg pain, mostly at night. I have started feeling very anxious and on edge, not sleeping well at all and when I do sleep I have crazy

Movicol making me sick
every time I take it I feel sick and it doesn't soften my stool (at least not the left side of my abdomen) . Maybe it's my other meds (olanzapine, Zolpidem, lorazepam, dycloverine/alverine), but if you're feeling sick bloated, left sided stool feels harder than before you took it and you've sweating

lorazepam effect in elderly
my father (89) has just been prescribed Lorazepam- he has dementia and has nightmares at night and poor sleep. The lorazepam seems to help him sleep but he’s in a terrible state during the day, very disoriented and depressed- he’s been on it 4 days and I’m worried - my question is should he keep taking

Clonazepam for freezing gait?
My husband's CBD has progressed to the point where he can hardly walk at all, even holding on to me. Getting him down the hall to the toilet and back to his lift chair is challenging. He drags his left foot and every few steps he freezes and can't continue for several seconds. I'm wondering if clonazepam

Cant stop shaking
my husband aged 78 has suffered from severe GAD for over a year now. We are at a loss as to what started it. He has made progress as he can now go into shops and cafes etc with me, however he still feels anxious but manages to contain it. He has been on various medications, none of which have seemed

Levodopa Overmedication – Common, Unrecognized, Devastating
Dystonia – muscle tightness – is a common symptom of Parkinson's. It can also be a symptom of levodopa overmedication. The only study I could find of this phenomenon was done in 1999 and received very little notice from the medical community: http://bbs.neuro.or.kr/space/journal/1999/9904010.pdf As

advice needed
I want to stop taking lorazepam. I have been on 3mg per day and now I am down to 2mg per day and trying very hard to take only 1mg per day, but I find it very hard. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. How long will it take me to feel normal again. would be grateful for advice.
