Symptom changes advice please
Hi I have got a couple of questions. My daughter who is 9 has had asthma since she was 18 mths and her main symptom has always been a cough. She has never wheezed (except when she also had a chest infection). Over time I have learnt to recognise when she gets bad as she always says she is fine (!) until

Tired and frustrated
My 13 yr old son has been ill for the past two weeks. First he picked up a virus which then gave him problems with his asthma. After over a week on antibiotics and steroids he now feels a lot better and is no longer having trouble breathing or wheezing but he is still constantly coughing until he is

Needing ventolin after doing peak flow
I really need to push for an appoinment with the asthma nurse at our practice so I don't have to keep plaguing you lovely people with my questions! While much improved at the end of the course of pred (and having taken her Seretide 50 down to 2 puff twice a day from the three twice a day previously)

unsure what to do
Hello everyone. I'd like to explain and ask for advice about me and my 9 year old son please. Me - Every 3 or 4 months I get coughing fits. No shortness of breath, they don't get any worse when I'm more active. Coughing usually continues and gets worse making me be sick ( clear gooey stuff ). Sometimes

chest infections, whats 'normal'?
My 7yod was diagnosed with asthma autumn last year. I'd taken her to the docs with yet another chest infection and explained that I wasn't happy for her to keep taking antibitics without knowing why she was getting so many URT infections. A peak flow diary was kept and seasonal asthma was the diagnosis

Fabry disease
My daughter was diagnosed just before christmas with fabry disease. We are waiting for my son to be tested too. Apparently it may explain why he has such difficult to control asthma and certainly my daughters asthma seems to be headed the same way. In the last couple of months she's had a spate of

salmeterol
My 5 year old has mild Asthma, only had one bad attack. He is normally fine on a day to day basis, but now and again his asthma can flair up for what ever unknown reason. He has been on steroid inhaler for almost 3 months (since the bad attack) but is now having his first asthma symptoms since starting
