At what age does a child use a peak flow?

I saw this information from elsewhere on AUK site.

It is not easy to measure how well a young child's lungs are working. A peak flow meter is used for older children, but is unsuitable and unreliable for younger children (usually those under the age of six).

from working in an asthma clinic - childrens, pea flows are measured on children 6 years and above, depending on level of understanding.
