Hypo type episode on Dapaglaflozin/Forxiga, and Spironolactone, while waiting for a pacemaker upgrade. Advice anyone?
He also told me to stop
Flecainide
and continue Bisprolol. The HF man thought dropping the
Flecainide
was "very cautious", but deferred to the EP. So a little confusion there! Apologies forTMI. But if anyone is still reading I would love some advice about these meds.

Good news story
A shortish resume: Diagnosed 2018, paroxysmal AF treated with Bisopralol and
Flecainide
. Very symptomatic and intolerant of drugs. Feelings of passing out during episodes resulted in PM being fitted 2019. Episodes of AF became more frequent and lasted longer.

Can Sodium or Calcium Channel Blockers Worsen SVT?
I have failed Norpace and also
Flecainide
. The problem I am having is that it seems that these medicines are making the SVT worse. I have Atrial Tachycardia. I cannot find any information about this. Where can I get more information?

Looking for feedback regarding Asymptomatic Afib
My electrophysiologist discussed the possibility of starting
flecainide
on an outpatient basis but I have mixed feelings about doing that now.

However, I would have to switch to Amiodarone, which I decided against and stuck with
Flecainide
. Then, I had another cardioversion 12 weeks ago, and unfortunately, I'm now back in full-time atrial fibrillation.

To start blood thinners or not?
My doctor’s solution is to double my current dose of
Flecainide
from 50 mg twice a day and prescribe Apaxiban.

Edoxoban Update
I had been taking that since I started PAF in 2010, as well as
Flecainide
and also Fish Oil. I was told that with Edoxoban there were no foods I could not have. What was not mentioned was what supplements I could or could not take.

Has anyone had problems with Flecainide not working?
In an attempt to reduce the number of AFib episodes, 3 weeks ago I was changed to
Flecainide
50mg twice daily and Verapamil 80mg twice daily. The number of AFib episodes increased so
Flecainide
was increased to 100mg and then 150mg twice daily.

accord Flecainide
hi I’m desperate to get hold of Accord
Flecainide
100mg. Once Lloyds shut in Sainsburys it was kind trying to source a hidden treasure!! The pharmacies just can’t seem to get it. Even though Accord themselves told me who uses Alliance wholesaler. Namely Asda and Boots.

When is a second ablation advisable?
After the usual regimen trials of just Metoprolol,
Flecainide
,
Flecainide
with Metoprolol for rate control, etc. I received a Cryoablation on March 16 of last year (2022). I had two afib episodes a month or so after the ablation which was explained as being in the "Blanking Period".

No more propafenone!!!! What???
From what I have read, there is a dangerous shortage of propafenone in the U.S and Canada (at least), and this shortage has spilled over into shortages of
flecainide
and tikosyn! Apparently there is little to none to be had, and this is expected to continue until late February!

My long standing medication includes verapamil 120 at night and 240 in the morning , Losartan, thyroxine and
flecainide
. The latter dose used to be 100 three times a day. I had reduced this to 100 a day over the last 4 years.

Should I lower flecainide dose to 1X per day instead of twice a day.
He didnt seem concerned about cutting back on the
Flecainide
to one time a day for a week and see how I felt. He said, if feeling fine I could go down to one tablet every other day and then no pills except for a pill in pocket should I go into AFIB.

Chest pain after viscous bout of Afib?
This attack seemed 'different' to the ones before my last ablation so l opted not to take
Flecainide
as PIP. (I was worried it may do arm than good if it was something different to AF). I called 111 and because of the AF and chest pain they sent an emergency ambulance.

What is your Flecainide experience?
My cardiologist wants me to try
Flecainide
. This will necessitate an overnight hospital stay so the can monitor my heart and adjust the dosage. What has been you experience with this drug? Thank you. 82 year old male U.S.

Post Pacemaker
I am on
Flecainide
50 x2 and amlodipine 5 x 1. I really can't carry on going back to where I was. The cardiologist said go back to 40 you have the pacemaker now. I don't want to feel tired all the time.

Tachycardia
I’m on Bisoprolol 10 and
flecainide
50.x 2. Also became tachycardic. Spoke to gp who agreed I could increase
flecainide
to 2 x 100. Made me very breathless so reduced it again. I’m mostly tachycardic. Seeing cardiologist next week as planned but wanted to know if anyone had similar experience.
