Upcoming ablation
On 200 mgs of
flecainide
daily with an extra 50 mgs If uncontrollable. Also 3.75 mgs of bisoprolol. Any advice on upcoming ablation and in particular reducing bisoprolol afterwards would be greatly appreciated!! Bisoprolol stinks ! Look forward to hearing from you, Goose

Flecainide
I was previously suffering from PAF and was on 1.25 mg bisoprolol. Past 6 weeks I’ve been in persistent AF and cardiologist has increased bisoprolol to 5mg and I’m starting on 50mg x 2 of flec from tomorrow and booked in for a cardioversion in 4 weeks. Any advice from anyone? Obviously very nervous about

Flecainide eventually produces SVT or flutter?
My question please is, is there anyone with Lone PAF, otherwise healthy and with AF well controlled on
Flecainide
for several years where this has occurred?

Anyone know what this could be on my smart watch ECG
So I am now on
flecainide
and Bisoprolol for AF and SVT. I have an Apple Watch that does my ECGs which my cardiologist has the results from. I have been experiencing strange beats that make me feel a bit funny. I have attached a picture just wondering wether anyone knows what it might be.

4-and-a-bit-month Post Ablation Update
has told me to stop the amiadarone - I'm to take
flecainide
if necessary as a Pill-in-the-Pocket. I'm to stay on the Apixaban for another three months, just in case and then they will review that.

Flecainide as PIP question
Prior to that I was unable to tolerate taking
flecainide
. A couple of weeks ago when I saw my cardio he said that I should try taking it again when I went into a fib. A few days ago I took one at the onset of afib. Six hours later I was finally in sinus rhythm.

Things to do to hopefully stave off having an ablation?
I've read that
Flecainide
can often work for years, and beta blockers, too. I take them both and a blood thinner. At this point, I don't seem to have any "side effects" of taking these meds.

Does Xarelto cause an increase in heart rate?
Although my heart rate has increased occasionally since my afib diagnosis, it usually settles back to normal with an extra dose of
flecainide
but this tactic hasn't worked this time. I'm wondering if I'm just having a stubborn episode or if the Xarelto is causing this increased rate.

Flecainide
I have started taking 2 x 50mg
flecainide
after being on bisoprolol for a year. I have been taking for 4 days but feel terrible. Is this common when starting these meds.

My heart story............
I have tried
Flecainide
but it gave me very bad eczema; and Propafenone but it was pro-arrhythmic. I take other meds for hypertension and hyperlipidemia, Apixaban as a blood thinner and Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 to keep Homocysteine (an amino acid) levels down.

Ablation Experiences
I was on
Flecainide
as a pill in the pocket which shortened the attacks but my EP says it has changed the T waves on my ecg. So I can’t take it any more. On average I get attacks every 4 weeks but this last attack lasted 21 hours. So I have elected to have an ablation.

Improve lifestyle to improve outcomes - sleep & mouth tape
Caveat: This is only my personal experience of someone 67yo in otherwise good health with just Lone PAF and only on
Flecainide
, in case it helps someone else out there. Check with your medical team BEFORE any action if you have complex heart, respiratory or other health issues.

Flecainide of beta blockers?
Was prescribed 50mg
Flecainide
twice a day. It s not working now, started feeling the fast/extra hard beats again. I have an appetite my EP next week. Should I agree to increase the dose of
flecainide
(which is what I think he'll suggest) or ask to try beta blockers?

Irritated lungs / breathing passages
My oxygen levels are always around 98% and no cough to speak of other than the occasional tickle and staying out of AF (touch wood) with now one a day
Flecainide
as opposed to two. Ablation was nearly two years ago, cardioversion two years in October.

EP Study didn’t trigger arrhythmia
My cardiologist has offered another EP study but I have opted for
flecainide
for now, we don’t want to go through it as it sounds unlikely they will trigger it again Has anyone else experienced the EP study not picking it up? Thankyou x

Insomnia
I also take 5mg Bisoprolol in the mornings, and 100mg
Flecainide
as PIP about every ten days. What are peoples experiences of taking medication to help with sleep, together with your AF medication?
