Told to stop

The Yo-yo of the blanking period
TThe EP had taken me off
Flecainide
and Bisoprolol immediately after the ablation. Following which I had some AFib. The EP put me back on the meds ( hope you are following!). All OK for a week but very slow rhythm with pauses and ectopics. But today the heart surpassed itself.

Extracts from 2020 ESC guidelines on stroke, flecainide & lifestyle
I just scanned this meaty document and took 25 extracts on principally 3 areas of interest as above. Was hoping to attach the folder here but don't think that can be done; maybe it can be done by individual private message if anyone interested contacts me. The bottom line is it is a useful 'summary

What magnesium to use?
where do you get it from and what are your bank details 🤪🤣 I’m off for a cardiac mri on Thursday and I’m taking 2.5 milligrams of bisoprolol twice a day to help with my pvcs, I’ve had no Af whatsoever since my ablation last June, I’ve had some fast heart rate mixed in with pvcs but since I’ve stopped

Heart Rate Spikes after Ablation
My doctor took me off of
Flecainide
2 x 50mg a day and Dilt XR 120mg when I told him about the spikes. Any advice you can give me is welcomed.

Third episode of persistent AF in 6 months
I take Edoxaban and have tried to take
Flecainide
but it makes me dizzy and very sick. I tried the "pill in pocket " yesterday but it did not work. I think it is being triggered by hot flushes. I had breast cancer 6 months ago and had to have a mastectomy and come off HRT.

After initial amazing success with
Flecainide
controlling my Afib, which gave me my energy back for work, social and family life, I'm now in
Flecainide
induced flutter which is still better than Afib.

Vagal/Sympathetic Cascade a homegrown theory
In 2020 it happened very frequently ( often 4 days out of seven) and after runs of tachy and lots of ectopics, my
flecainide
was increasea and everything improved) I can function (mostly) when I get this, but need to rest on bed to feel more comfortable ( it fluctuates, usually evenings better) Lasts

Does Afib Months After Ablation Mean It Was Unsuccessful?
I had stopped the
flecainide
, which I'd been on for over two years, on June 13, a week before that appointment. Question: Could this episode mean that the ablation wasn't successful or is this, on average, a common part of the process? Thank you.

Should I up my medication
My question is since my 2nd ablation I halved my meds so I went from 200
flecainide
and 250 bisoprolol a day down to 100
flecainide
to 1.25 bisoprolol but I keep getting HHR often and I’m due to go back to work soon so should I keep the bisoprolol at 250 but keep the

Question
I don't think
flecainide
is working for me - 2 weeks in and I'm getting asymptomatic AFib attacks every second day or so. They are mild (less than 90bpm) and I can pretty much carry on with no ill effects. The
flecainide
is brilliant at resolving the attacks in less than 3 hours.

Have a great weekend
I was placed on a daily dose of 200mg of
flecainide
but for weeks it just did not seem to work. However I stuck with the daily dose of
flecainide
and bisoprolol and lo and behold - this week, no daily attacks and sleeping through the night!

Beta blockers
I see many people here take beta blockers with
Flecainide
. Can I ask why? I have been on 200 mg of
Flecainide
now for two years but was never offered beta blockers. Probably a silly question but what is the connection between the two? I assumed it was one or the other.

Reactions to Flecainide and Amiodarone?
EP added
Flecainide
to my meds and did the second cardio. I felt the
flecainide
initially increased the symptoms I was feeling of weakness and inability to exert myself without getting short of breath.

AFib and flutter/meds/heart rate…. All new and would appreciate insights
Cardiologist has put me on 180mg diltazem of a morning and (recently from 50mg) now 100mg
Flecainide
morning and night. 2 weeks now and still having many AFib episodes throughout the day with heart rate spending 30% of time over 100.
