Uncontrolled RLS
I’d like to report the observations of a friend with RLS whose disorder worsened to the point of not being able to ride in a car without extreme discomfort. The thought of a car ride produced anxiety. Standing or moving relieved the symptoms. In the evening and at night, the RLS worsened. When attempting

Buprenorphine
I am also taking
ferrous
sulphate
at 10pm each night. This isn’t working. I take the first codeine half an hour before bedtime and maybe sleep for 1 to 2hours. I then have to walk around/have a shower etc and wait to take the next codeine tablet.

Iron Bisglycinate
I am in the US and looked at a number of 25 mg of iron bisglycinate products (gentle iron) on Amazon. All listed there percent of daily value (US) at 139%. Most did not list their elemental iron but two did and they listed it as 25 mg. So my apologies! My previous post which I deleted was wrong.

Success with iron therapy.
I'm happy to report that after 8 weeks of iron therapy, my ferritin level has increased from 66 to 152. I began by taking one 325 mg ferrous sulfate (65 mg iron) tablet plus a 250 mg vitamin C tablet on an empty stomach at least 2 hours after consuming food. About midway, I changed the iron source

First blood test in over a year and not feeling good
I have actually been taking
Ferrous
sulphate
tablets for around two years now but probably around 3 or 4 tablets per week. My first ferritin check (Jan 2020) was extremely low (9!) but raised that to 82 in about 6 months of taking 2x
ferrous
sulphate
per day.

Advice needed on iron levels (plus an update on Targinact)
Since then I've had my iron/ferritin levels rechecked (after a 3-month course of
Ferrous
Sulphate
), and I know that both SueJohnson and Joolsg have kindly offered to look at blood results and advise on the best course of action. If anyone has any thoughts on these results I'd be very grateful.

Ferrittin level (Different Opinions)
Last Wednesday (26th July) I had my 3 monthly blood test in relation to my Myelofibrosis and asked for my Ferrittin level and TSATS to be checked also. The Nurse/Clinician found Ferrittin on the data base but not TSATS and was a bit baffled by the whole TSATS thing. I concluded that I would only get

Help with test results - haemochromatosis with iron deficiency?
I've been taking
ferrous
sulphate
for 6 weeks and had everything retested. I'm so confused with the results. Can anyone explain to me what this means? I've marked the abnormal or borderline results in bold.

my story
I live in the US and have had RLS and peripheral neuropathy for a number of years and controlled it using tramadol. My doctor took me off of it because of opiate regulations. After trying and failing at buprenorphine, that doctor decided that since I was 80 years old, had been taking a low dose of Tramadol
