CLL Remission
I have been in remission for just over 5 years since finishing treatment in 2014 of
FCR
. Lately my lymphocytes and WBC are going up double in about 2-3 months so my Hemotologist had me do blood work for possible relapse . So now I wonder what the results will show .

In October 2013 I started Chemo

Due to start treatment but confused!!!
I am due to start treatment soon and have all the right markers for
FCR
. Would it be better to go into the Flair trial? This whole chemo thing scares me. If I was chosen for the Ibrutinib and it stopped working would I still be able to have chemo?

Has anyone been on the combination therapy of Venetoclax, Ibrutinib and Obinutuzumab?
My CLL is completely resistant to Chemo and actually continued to spread while I was on
FCR
. Basically I have a rare c-myc mutation for CLL that has a poor prognosis.

What do all these Acronyms mean?
FRC or is it
FCR
? Clearly there is a lot to learn, but a guide would help.

New to this community - CLL diagnosis Feb 2018
Started
FCR
chemo in April 2018 for 6 months. Had quite a rough time with a number of hospital admissions, but post chemo scan and bone marrow biopsy shows a good response to the chemo.

Worried mum
I was diagnosed in my mid/late 30s after being unwell for quite some time and had
FCR
5 years ago. Symptoms slowly returning I’m adopted, so no family medical history. What do you think about increased risk for family members? Any info??

11q deletion, my experience and short story
FCR
was the gold standard at the time, 3 infusions a week every month for six months. Lots of time in the chair, never missed a drop either. Got 5+ years of remission, relapse in 2015, imbruvica for exactly 3 years then 2nd relapse.

Chemo Finished
At long last my final cycle of
FCR
has been completed, and looking back on the last six months it has been a pretty eventful journey, but I will say to all of you that are about to begin
FCR
treatment and those already mid treatment I do believe it has been a journey worth taking.

Last cycle of FCR next week
I am on the Flair trial am now approaching my last lot of
FCR
. When signing up to Flair given the choice
FCR
would have been my last choice of treatment, but on reflection although it has been tough, I am glad it’s the arm I was given.

Question - how many different varieties of antibodies can B-cells make? Hint - it's hypermutation (IGHV mutation) that makes it possible
With
FCR
, quite a few patients go on to have very long remission times of well over 10 years if they are 'mutated', i.e. the cancerous clonal cells developed after the B-cell went through the hypermutation stage.
