Should I Pay for Enzalutamide
I started ADT in May (my PSA had risen to 7.5 after IMRT in 2016). Unfortunately I am in the small group of me who have 'primary ADT resistance' and my PSA is now 21 after 6 months of ADT. Not a good look! I am seeing MO next week, chemo is likely. In the meantime, urologist has added Casodex to my

Xtandi/Enzalutamide & Curcumin/Turmeric
Is curcumin contraindicated while on Xtandi? There have been a few recent posts on this subject. Rather than respond to them individually, I'm starting yet another thread. LOL This is also a follow-up to an old post, which was a response to Cromone, who had been told to avoid curcumin, because: "the

Ibrance/Low neutrophils
I am also on
Faslodex
and get a monthly shot for my bones. The first month my white blood count went dangerously low. My doctor advised me to stay away from crowds, sick people, etc. I went on "house arrest" for one week till my "rest" week from Ibrance.

Cause of liver enzymes continuing to rise? ALT and AST
Just an update- when we went for his 3rd chemo last week the blood tests beforehand showed his liver enzymes had risen again- to just under 200. PSA is down to 68. We had gone off all supplements after 2nd chemo due to enzymes being high. Because we went off all supplements (except D3, Omega 3, and

New to the group, diagnosed in May '16
I'm glad to have found this group. I began feeling ill in early April '16 and was diagnosed with PC in late May '16 with a PSA of 3275, Gleason 9, at age 51. Did six rounds of Docetaxel plus Lupron and Casodex until PSA rose from 0.06 to 40ish in March '17. Now on Zytiga and had a PSA of 0.94 in September

Ibrance
Doctor gave two options. 1)continue on above and re-scan in two months or 2) change to
Faslodex
and continue Xgeva. I would prefer to give Ibrance a little longer but was wondering if any others out there have stayed on it after finding some mild progression? Hard decision!

Blood clots and blood in urine (no radiation)
My husband had a TURP 8/4/17 (in history below) but has not had any other surgery. Had second round of taxotere last week...next one in two weeks. He's had mild blood in urine since two days after first chemo. A few small clots. Onc says to keep an eye on it. He's away for business this week and just

No end to Docetaxel?
After a stage 4 diagnosis at end of July, MO immediately started me on lupron, short term casodex for the flair (now done), zometa for bones, and docetaxel for chemo. My initial PSA was 11.5 and mets had already spread extensively in spine. Now after chemo round four today, PSA is already down to 0.3

My profile info is below... In our visit for chemo yesterday his bloodwork came back with elevated ALT/AST/BUN-Creatinine ratio- you can see numbers below. Thankfully PSA is going in the right direction. The oncologist wants us to go off of all supplements to get a baseline. We both take some herbal

New to group
I am currently on
faslodex
and starting Inrance next week. Needless to say it has been difficult coming to grips with this new diagnosis and hoping to have good results with the Ibrance. It is nice to have this forum to communicate with others in my same position.

Are there any options s being tried bypassing the ADT resistant first route?
I am currently 50. Diagnosed at 42. Prostate removed, chemo, radiation, Casodex about 4 years ago (also made me miserable) Now on Lupron. I am miserable, the hot flashes are borderline painful, gaining weight even though I ride my bike hard in the upper cardio zone 1,000 miles a month. Since my PSA
