Blood clots and blood in urine (no radiation)
My husband had a TURP 8/4/17 (in history below) but has not had any other surgery. Had second round of taxotere last week...next one in two weeks. He's had mild blood in urine since two days after first chemo. A few small clots. Onc says to keep an eye on it. He's away for business this week and just

No end to Docetaxel?
After a stage 4 diagnosis at end of July, MO immediately started me on lupron, short term casodex for the flair (now done), zometa for bones, and docetaxel for chemo. My initial PSA was 11.5 and mets had already spread extensively in spine. Now after chemo round four today, PSA is already down to 0.3

New to group
I am currently on

and starting Inrance next week. Needless to say it has been difficult coming to grips with this new diagnosis and hoping to have good results with the Ibrance. It is nice to have this forum to communicate with others in my same position.

Are there any options s being tried bypassing the ADT resistant first route?
I am currently 50. Diagnosed at 42. Prostate removed, chemo, radiation, Casodex about 4 years ago (also made me miserable) Now on Lupron. I am miserable, the hot flashes are borderline painful, gaining weight even though I ride my bike hard in the upper cardio zone 1,000 miles a month. Since my PSA

Diagnosis + 18 years; update since Xofigo
I finished Xofigo last October. My experience with it was good. Minimal side effects, no complications. Pain relief from multiple bone mets started after about 6 weeks on Xofigo. PSA was .66 on completion of Xofigo treatments. Unfortunately in January I fractured my T7 & T8 vertebrae in a fall. Fortunately

New to Lupron
Hi, just got my advanced prostate cancer with bone(pelvic) and some lymph involvement a few months ago(I'm 60 y.o.)...and started Lupron a little over two months ago. It's NOT a party. I'm such an "up" person...but I now realize that a lot of what makes a person who they are IS controlled by hormones

Zytiga while hormone sensitive
We met with Dr. Schulz in L.A. He's given us the green light to start Zytiga while still hormone sensitive. So my husband is taking casodex, Lupron, zytiga and about to finish his last cycle of Docetaxel. 🤞

Morgentaler & Testosterone Flare
New paper below. Abraham Morgentaler's Saturation Model states that PCa cells have all the testosterone [T] they can use at T levels in the upper-hypogonadal range. Therefore if T = 350, 650 or 950 ng/dL, there is no difference in the effect on PCa proliferation. The testosterone flare caused by Lupron
