Stopping norethisterone so Mirena can take over
I have been taking norethisterone constantly with no breaks for over 2 years now and after having the Mirena fitted about 7 weeks ago, my consultant wanted me to continue taking it until my ultrasound. The ultrasound showed the Mirena to be in the right place and now he wants me to stop the norethisterone

Frustrated and confused!!!
Will try and keep this very brief! I have head heavy and painful periods on and off for a few years, I have not had a lap yet. Over the last 8 months or so they have got a lot worse, I have to have time off work and need to change pads etc every half hour with large clots. The other symptoms I have

Norethisterone(Progesterone) experiences
Hi my GP has given me a course of Norethisterone 3 x 1 tab per day and just wondered what experiences others have had? It is hoped that it will make me have a bleed as I haven't a period since coming off the pill last Aug. I'm also being sent for an ultrasound to see whats going on. L x
