Etanercept and life insurance
Our mortgage advisor filled in the form for us and didn't tell them I was on
Etanercept
or had high blood pressure so I'll have to contact them about it. Having RA alone increased my premium by £17 a month so I'm dreading what correcting the info will do.

Biological drugs
Is there anyone on
Etanercept
for RA and Omalizumab for asthma? I have been on
Etanercept
for about 8 years, but have had uncontrollable asthma for the last 2 years. I am on every drug the hospital can prescribe so am possibly going to start Omalizumab in the new year.

Starting etanercept.
Anyway, having seen my specialist yesterday, she has agreed that the next step would be to try
etanercept
. From all I've read about this drug it seems that I am, in a way, fortunate to be started on it so soon and I really 'could' see a big improvement in my condition.

Enbrel injection site reactions
I've been in
etanercept
since the end of August 2014. I've noticed recently it's become more painful to inject then since Friday (my injection day) I've had bruising and a red itchy patch which seems to have grown. I read some where it should go after 3 days but if it gets worse contact a dr.

About to start Etanercept (Enbrel) injections - any helpful tips?
I am about to start
Etanercept
injections (also taking MTX hydroxychloroquine, predisolone 10mg, tramadol etc) for RA/lupus overlap. I was wondering if anyone could give me their stories. What side effects, did it work, how long did it take to work etc. All comments gratefully received.

Life without Methotrexate?
I inject Enbrel/
Etanercept
once a week and I'm supposed to be injecting Methotrexate once a week also. I have taken the Methotrexate on and off for the last 3 years. It makes me feel ill......very tired, lethargic and sick.

Rheumatoid arthritis, pain is back with new symptoms
after a long ordeal through doctors, drugs without any effect such as Cortisone, Chloroquine and Arava or too many side effects like Methotrexate plus strong pain that lead me to pass a long time stuck in bed, finally in 2011, I was given the green light to try the new biological treatment Enbrel (

Hi I am new to this site...I am about to move to injections. Can anyone share their experience
i have been asked if i want to take
etanercept
as a weekly jab, adalimumab as a fortnightly jab and golimumab as a monthly jab. mxt is doing nothing for me and my steroid injection lasted 8 weeks max. I have 2 permanently swollen fingers and another nodule growing on another finger.

Weight gain and Lipomas, are they linked to anti TNF treatment?
My meds are 50mg
Etanercept
(Enbrel), 20mg morphine daily, Leflunomide 20mg daily, Lansaprazole 30mg twice daily, Metformin 500mg twice daily, Atenolol 25mg daily, Amitriptyline 50mg daily, Oxybutynin 5mg daily and pregabalin 150mg daily. With this cocktail I think I should be glowing in the dark.

Two ex-rays and the go ahead with Etanercept (Enbrel) .......
But, the best news is that I've been given the go-ahead for
Etanercept
(Enbrel). A nurse will come to my house for the first injection and then I'm on my way :-) I am so hoping that this is going to be positive for me, but I'm not going to worry myself about that.

Hi, anyone else getting eczema flares on anti-tnf therapies?
I developed really bad eczema after taking Certolizumab for about 3 months; later switched to
Etanercept
and the same again so now stopped that too. A shame, I responded well to both! I did have childhood eczema and occassional minor flares over the years but nothing like this!
