update from Ruffabug (End of life plan)
A big thank you to those who kindly replied to my post of a couple weeks ago entitled HELP PLEASE TO REDUCE DOSE OF NEUPRO .To remind you I have terminal cancer with roughly six to nine months life expectancy. After reading your replies I decided not to try to reduce the Dopamine Agonist Receptor drugs

care options for H.E and decompensated cirrhosis
Hey, hoping for some advice on care options for someone suffering with cirrhosis and H.E My dad was diagnosed this January, but clearly quite late on - he has since had 4 hospital admissions due to severe (stage 3) H.E and one time he went into coma (stage 4). This latest admission lasted 2 weeks

wtf is this
I’m in so much pain these days and waiting to see the GI doctor to have a colonoscopy and a endoscopy done at the same time . Unfortunately Kaiser is such an amazing hospital that I can’t be seen till mid march since they have to make a bigger time slot for me to have both procedures at once. So he is

I feel like I’m dying.
After my first test today (anorecora manometry)…to see how my muscles are preventing me from pushing what’s inside to me - I got home and was hoping that I would not have the urge to go..but I did, when I tried, I got stuck as usual, and after TWO enemas - I’m finished. I feel like I’m dying …the only

Continuous constipation Dr's unwilling to help 😭
Hi all, I'm hoping someone can offer some kind of help. My 4 nearly 5(dec) son has suffered with constipation all his life, he didn't have a first poo until nearly 30hrs after he was born. The main problems he suffers is his stomach doesn't seem to push anything through. So he'll eat anything bloat massively

Chronic constipation and excessive use of enema
Used excessive
enema
now it is not working. Consulted gastrointestinal expert gave some medicine, it helps but largely it is psychological. I can't pass stool its like lump and results in anal fissures. Any suggestion who had similar experience

6 weeks of impaction
Hi guys, I posted a few weeks ago but things aren’t any better. My 7 year old daughter has now been impacted for 6 weeks. She has been on the max dose of 12 sachets of laxido for over 3 weeks. She was also on the max dose of Senna but the GP has now changed this to Lactulose. The soiling hasn’t changed

Laparoscopy and bladder /bowel retention
I also cannot poo without an
enema
and lots of laxatives since the operation. I can cope with the pain of the operation but the toilet situation is really depressing me. They also won't let me out of the hospital until my bowels start to move independently.

I'm not sure if this idea makes much sense, but the fear that the colonoscopy disrupted my flora due to the
enema
has affected my mindset, and I'm not sure if I've gotten worse. Here are my questions: 1- Can a colonoscopy cause SIBO?

Topical peppermint oil for pain management?
Hey, everyone, I'm new here I'm looking for more over the counter options especially low cost. I spend far more than I would like to admit on managing my IBS. I have only heard of Peppermint oil capsules but has anyone tried applying it topically to their abdomen? I'm not sure it would be effective
