My stiffness....
At my
endoscopy
last week,my consultant said the reason I got the ascites (once) was because of the stiffness in my liver (I understand thatâs the scarring). He wasnât really around much for me to ask him to expand on that and I try and stay away from google(đ„Ž).

Are folks still getting their âroutineâ 6 monthly monitoring blood tests and US scans?
He was also due to have an
endoscopy
in November. We have no way of getting in touch with his consultant/team other than through a general email box which does not give replies. His secretaryâs phone goes unanswered.

Update on my Partner
Coming up he has a further
endoscopy
to check whether the ulcer has healed, and a routine 6-monthly ultrasound scan on his liver. At the time of my previous post he was having a lot of pain in his left shoulder.

Update + Advice please
I have been referred by my GP for a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
. This last month has been very challenging, physically and mentally. I didnât expect these symptoms to persist for so long, and to be so severe for that matter. My life is very much at a standstill.

Does this sound like a flare up?
He has been referred for an
endoscopy
and colonoscopy and heâs worried theyâre going to tell him itâs the âc wordâ. Is it possible that this is a severe colitis flare? Can anyone with colitis share their stories of having a flare after so long or those who have had issues with naproxen.

Preparing for a Colonoscopy when suffering with Cirrhosis. On going bowel issues. Future plans.
Earlier this week I had an
Endoscopy
which, from what I was told at the time (I knew the Endoscopist) was pretty much ok, no sign of Varices. I am yet to have it analysed by my GP and as I said I still haven't met my NHS Consultant.

Alternative to Aspirin
At this point GP sent me for an
endoscopy
which diagnosed mild erosive gastritis. No H pylori and doctor stated diet as the cause. Have had diverticula flare ups in the past but none for many years since changing diet Started a PPI and this has helped, especially with the nausea.

Anyone experience Bile as a caustic?
An
endoscopy
in late 2017 found severe reactive gastropathy. I ended the turmeric supplement. It was believe that the PPI and turmeric supplement created a toxic reaction. Now having Barrettâs esophagus, Iâm prescribed a PPI for life.

Husband in intensive care
I only joined this site about a month ago. My husband was gradually becoming unwell over a period of months last year. Trying to seek help from GP was very frustrating and also not being seen physically due to restrictions, anyway this resulted in him being admitted to hospital in late November as bloods
