I could use some advice for my son's meds.
My eight-year-old son was diagnosed with ADHD about a year and a half ago. I strongly suspected as much for a couple years. He had every symptom. Anyway, we had him on Ritalin at first. I want to say we started at 5mg, which helped a little, but we moved him up to 10 a couple weeks after if I remember

Side effects of Adderall XR
Has anyone else developed a sore throat or cough on Adderall XR? If so does regular Adderall have the same effect. I’ve recently (about 4-5 months ago) started ADHD meds after being off for about 8 years. I suffer from EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness) in addition to ADHD of the primarily inattentive

Desoxyn
Hi. I've been taking Vyvanse 70 mg for over 12 years now and it seems to have lost its effectiveness. I've tried other drugs Adderall, Ritalin, etc etc I'm interested in trying Desoxyn. Any experience with this drug from others would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you

10 year old girl suddenly refusing medication
My daughter has been on Vyvanse during the school week for the past 2 years. It’s been incredibly helpful for her to focus in school on activities. There have been times she has not taken it, without fail I will get contacted by teachers, coaches, etc, asking what is wrong, something is off, etc. so

PDF of Hopkins or Mayo DA Withdrawal protocol??
Hi, I seem to remember a while back finding a link (here I think, maybe on Reddit?) to a PDF someone had gotten from Hopkins, or one of the other big clinics, detailing their precise protocol and what to "expect" when finally off of a DA in terms of days, etc. Can someone please repost that? I went

adult Dad with ADHD who has tried stimulant meds for the last time!
I recently after many years decided to try Vyvanse, after not using meds since my twenties due to terrible side effects, long enough ago were there was no Vyvanse. I’ve been in it for a week, and the anger, and irritability on only 30 mg’s is just too much to consider messing with it any longer. If you

Asthma and ADHD
My 10 year old daughter has both asthma and ADHD. Her asthma is brought on typically by respiratory infections; otherwise she is pretty well controlled. Winter is tough with all the colds milling around. It has been a real delicate balance managing her medications. She takes Vyvanse daily for ADHD and

Medication side effects
Hello! My name is Liz. I am recently formally diagnosed just this year and am looking into starting medication. My doctor suggests starting with Vyvanse. I am open to starting with what statistically is shown to be the most effective. I also have a sibling who has paranoid schizophrenia and am anxious

ADHD meds might have made my son worse?
Hello parents, I've been looking everywhere online about this and looking for feedback. My son who is now 13 was diagnosed with Adhd when he was 8 and I was also diagnosed with adhd right after him. Now a back story at this time me and his father had been going through a nasty divorce and I was drinking

Vyvanse titration and career thoughts/tangent
This started as a question about medication titration but spun off on a little tangent about my work and career that felt relevant... A little background... After reading an article a (ADHD diagnosed) friend sent me (6 months ago) about ADHD in relationships (relating to this all too much), staring

Maybe I don’t know
well I have tried a few different medications and they suck! I am working on getting my hormones in check as that is what caused my ADHD to get bad. My doctor don’t know why I became anemic so that is weird. So I am on all kinds of supplements which I feel like they might be helping. Get my vitamin

Exhausted..
Good morning, New member & I have seen more helpful information here than I’ve been able to find anywhere else! To start, my son is 6 and we have started the medication journey & it’s been nothing short of eventful. Focalin XR low dose increased to 15 mg and then 5 mg at lunch, worked for a week and
