Yvanse is a strong stimulant, so it's worth cutting back on other stimulants in his diet. Coffee, sugar, smoking etc... If you over stimulate, you'll get brain fog
Hello it takes a while for the body to get used to it. I had an incredibly dry mouth for a few weeks but that has now gone. Make sure to have a good high protein breakfast and drink lots of water. If you are still concerned then do contact your clinician
Speak to your doctor, dose might be a little high, or any number of things
I agree with StanleyThryoid & AuDHD3245, I too had a incredibly dry mouth for the first month when I started the 50mg time release Vyvanse and that was a night & day improvement from Ritalin that I used to take in the late 90's. I haven't taken any ADHD meds for about 23 years but decided I needed to get back on something so in June 2023 started back on Ritalin. The Ritalin did nothing like it did for me back when I was 25 years old (1997) finishing physical therapy school, now 51 years old and the Vyvanse turns off the million things running through my head, slows and calms my brain down, and helps with focus and attention. I'm presently taking 60mg time release and this seems to be the ticket.
Maybe try a different dosage and stick to non caffeinated drinks or water as suggested by AuDHD3245. I basically have non caffeinated tea in the morning and water the rest of the day and no headache or spacey/brain fog.
