I am also now taking
Eliquis
to prevent blood clots since the afib is not controlled. On a personal note, I have lived with some form of arrhythmia for almost 40 years and couldn’t convince anyone, including the doctors, that this was an issue with my heart for the first 10+ years.

Thanks for your earlier support for my 1st ablation. But now more questions.
I'm still on Amiodarone 200mgs Metoprolol and
Eliquis
but this episode is worse than any I've had in the last 2 years. So I guess my question is has this happened to anyone else on here?

My Experience With WARFARIN and ELIQUIS
Then, I was placed on
ELIQUIS
, and have been the entire time. 5mg twice a day. No clots, but I have suffered through many nose bleeds - some rather serious.

Going in For Second Ablation
During these four years I had been taking 50 mg of Flecainide 2 x daily, 25 mg Metoprolol ER 1 x daily, and
Eliquis
5 mg 2 x a day, plus my vitamins and other unrelated stuff. After four years, I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night with a crazy heartbeat, fast, slow, all over the place.

afib ablation question
Takes HBP meds (not sure which one) and blood thinner (
eliquis
) All was well for 2 weeks and then after lunch, he walked outside and it hit him right when he was walking to his car. He immediately knew that he was in afib and has had HIGH HR since. The HR has been around 147-150 for a few days.

Still only 1 and 1 only AFIB reading since Oct, 2020
Moving forward to November of 2022, my cardio doc believes I should still take the miserable
Eliquis
twice daily.
Eliquis
pretty much makes my life a nightmare and I cannot tolerate a statin. My cholesterol is 136 and my calcium score was 377.

I have been newly diagnosed afib and moderate heart failure. (3months ago) Dr put me on
Eliquis
and Metoprolol. Dealing with side effects and learning all I can to help myself. Many life changes.

Eliquis (apixaban)
Three weeks ago I was put on
Eliquis
(blood thinner) due to A-fib and have since returned to RLS every night. Has anyone else experienced this possible side effect of
Eliquis
? I’ve been told by my doctor that it is not an RLS trigger so I am mystified.

Medicare Part D for 2023 - USA open enrollment until 7 Dec 2022 to check your costs and change plans
It was fine for me but my wife's
Eliquis
prescription went up significantly so we changed her to Aetna Silverscript to save $900 next year. If you haven't checked your 2023 costs yet, you have only until Dec 7 to change plans Len

Need for colonoscopy when taking Eliquis (I don't advise reading this while having breakfast)
Hi folks I've been on
Eliquis
since May. I haven't noticed any side effects , no bruising or extra bleeding . I was told to go to our GP for a general check on stools. It's really a check for colon cancer and other problems. Anyway it showed presence of blood.

Changing from Abixiban (Eliquis) to Edoxaban (Lixiana)?
My GP surgery has contacted me saying they want to change me from Apixiban to Edoxaban. I asked why and they said because its much cheaper drug for NHS and I would only need to take once a day (Apixiban is twice a day) Has anyone changed to Edoxaban and how did they find it ? anything I should know

Post Ablation change in meds
I have/had PAF and had been taking Sotalol 120 2x daily, Diltiazem 120 1x and
Eliquis
before my ablation which occurred in January 2022. Since I had no further occurrences of Afib, my EP reduced the Sotalol to 80 2x in April.
