What’s next: Xtandi, Cabazitaxel or Lutetium-177
From the start of stage 4 diagnosis in 2018, husband did Zytiga, Docetaxel and then back to Zytiga along with Xgeva and
Eligard
. PSA went down to as much as 0.34 in Oct 2019 after 6 cycles of Docetaxel which he tolerated fairly well.

My Dad's Metastatic Prostate Cancer Update
Every 3 months he has an injection of
Eligard
. He also does a Vitamin C injection ever week or two - high dose. He feels super good after those. Our Oncologist says it won't go down past that.

Stricture at Bulbar after HDRBT and IMRT - Seeking Advice
Also, ADT (
Eligard
and Zytiga) ended on January 2019. I am in SoCal. March of 2019 had a complete blockage and it was a stricture at Bulbar, Uro did a Direct Visual Internal Urethrotomy and it has been good for about 15 months now.

Eligard and the side effects
My 18 month experience is with
Eligard
, not Lupron. Considering the fact that it has done the job of reducing my cancer to an acceptable level in that time, I have no real reason to find fault. EXCEPTION: the known side affects seem to have picked me to see how much agony I could handle.

Lupron verses Eligard
RO wants to switch to
Eligard
,which she says if better than Lupron because absorption is better anyway and insurance will cover. My understand Lupron and
Eligard
are the same anyway. I have experienced minimal side effects from Lupron. Should i switch to
Eligard
?

“Undetectable”
He has been on Casodex and
Eligard
since diagnosis, with reduction in PSA by February 2020 to .14. Husband had bloodwork Friday that showed that his PSA is now < .1 (i.e., undetectable) and testosterone is < 20.

New here, looking for some advice!
However the combination of ADT (androgen deprivation treatment (chemical castration)) and / or reactions to the drug
Eligard
itself, really took its tole on my cognitive ability and executive functions. Not trying to write a novel here but want to include pertinent info / history.

Best Meds for MO CRPC?
Tried ADT (
Eligard
); gave out after 8 months (March-Nov. 2019). Now on abiraterone & prednisone (plus
Eligard
); PSA rising; will probably try another drug. I'm thinking of the new receptor-inhibitors: apalutamide, darolutamide, enzalutamide.

Penis pump - no effect :-( Any experience/advice?
I got on
Eligard
and Zytiga+pred. right away and currently I am undergoing radiation to prostate (AND the 3 pelvic bone metastases - I challenged them to do so and they agreed due to my young age).. Anyways... PSA has dropped steadily since: 90->33->3.0->2.1 (start day radiation March 4th).

Muscle pain
I have been on
Eligard
for the past 15 months. Failed xtandi, zytiga, and chemo. My primary symptoms affecting my QOL at this time are muscle aches involving my R deltoid, L scapula, and lateral R rib cage. These pains were precipitated by only minor injury, and seem to be taking forever to heal.

Hi folks, are the Metastatic Hormone Sensitive Prostate Cancer (mHSPC) patients here, which, treatments are at least ADT2, taken Docetaxel?
So, ADT2: Leuprolide (Lupron,
Eligard
) and Abiraterone (Zytiga) for example, is typical combination for mHSPC patients. Although, the CHAARTED trial has determined - adding Docetaxel to ADT2 improves overall survival and prolong time to castrate resistance.
