Heart Surgery in India?
They gave me an
echocardiogram
, and an appointment was made for a CT scan for further investigation. Unfortunately the scanner broke down, so this has been delayed for a month. I then won't have the follow up appointment until December.

Post Ablation Dyspnea (Shortness of Breath) and Skipping Beats
Then during another 6-month follow up I was Afib on ECG and both left and right atrium dilated (enlarged) on
echocardiogram
. Quite a shock as the electrophysiologist implied that through the medication phase I lost quite some time and chances of full recovery diminished!

Heart valve disease and cause of breathlessness
I have been waiting for results from an
echocardiogram
done 5 weeks ago and although I expect a diagnosis of aortic stenosis, on the basis of breathlessness and severely reduced capacity for effort, I am fearful that I too may be told that the cause of my breathlessness has not be found.

Struggling to exercise
Hi, I had a heart attack a year ago with a stent, and had an
echocardiogram
a few weeks ago and just got a letter 2 days ago telling me I had basal inferior hypokinesis (whatever that is!). I had no cardiac classes just phone calls due to covid.

Possible mitral regurgitation?!
I’ve finally seen a cardiologist that has requested I have an
echocardiogram
and 24 hour holster.. I’m just waiting for an appointment for both. I’ve been having ectopic beats every day since January.. they are frequent with 2 or 3 a minute sometimes up to 5.

A slight interruption........
I also need to have a chest x-ray and an
echocardiogram
(scan of the heart). It's a fairly common condition, which is more likely for people with high blood pressure and diabetes amongst other things, both of which I have.

Ain’t that a kick in the teeth -Part 2
Your tests were are all normal (all classed abnormal in my notes), except BNP, so I am going to refer you for a
echocardiogram
. By the way, they will tell you that the results will be available from your GP the next day. It’s more like a week, so don’t call us.

Coronary heart spasm?
Monitoring, angiogram and
echocardiogram
all indicate no issues and consultant diagnosed a heart attack caused by the small amount of plaque form my arteries and prescribed the standard drugs. The issues I experience occur when I'm resting. Query coronary heart spasm or microvascular angina.

Testing times
She has contacted the hospital for further information and been told there is a 20 week wait for the holter monitor and 40 weeks for an
echocardiogram
. Is this the norm at the moment?

Tiredness and Angina
I had an
echocardiogram
last week and awaiting an angiogram but waiting lists here in West Wales are horrendous. My query is this, does anybody else get absolutely shattered by the end of the day or after any form of exertion?

Potential ICD
Hi My husband has just had a letter following his latest echo cardiogram and apparently his ejection fraction is now 32 (it was in the 40s last year). The letter has stated that he's being considered for an ICD and he's very stressed about this. Firstly, is there anything he could be doing to improve

Six weeks later. SUCCESS
Don’t give up this was the lowest I have felt and I’m still frustrated because I don’t have answers yet but I should after the
echocardiogram
. My doctor stated he feels sure that he will find out what it is and fix it.

Your experiences with periodical Echocardiogram.
Hi everyone, Not posted on here for some time, hope everyone is having a good day. I have Aortic stenosis and have had 2 echocardiograms to monitor it. On my last scan, they could not decide to see me again in 12 months or 24, so they opted for 18 months. Im posting today to ask about people's experiences

Severe Aortic Stenosis
My breathing over the past two years has got increasingly laboured on gradients, following all sorts of tests an
Echocardiogram
has located Aortic Stenosis, and it’s severe. Just waiting for specialist to confirm, but it looks like major surgery, my worst nightmare.

Discharged from hospital
Ablation now booked for 17 May as a day case patient and am due to have an
Echocardiogram
on the 5th May. Hopefully bloods will be at the right level to allow ablation to go ahead - having weekly INR tests to monitor.

Well, It's always something new and fun
Well, I have PAF and had a
echocardiogram
the first time in some years (new cardiologist, etc). So...discovered I have mitral valve leakage (regurgitatuon). It's moderate at this point with a EF of 60%. Hope that some others may have experience with this "combo". What has your journey been?
