Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I am an inpatient acute mental health nurse actually - for the last 15 years. I also have Bipolar disorder on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect. I appeared severely

Negative levodopa
Recently I heard the story of a women who controlled her
dyskinesia
by eating protein. Levodopa induced
dyskinesia
normally occurs when levodopa levels are at their highest (typically between 30 minutes and 90 minutes after taking a dose).

Neck pain caused by dyskinesia.....
About 6 months ago, my
dyskinesia
started getting worse, and I noticed I was starting to get a lot of neck pain. I went to a neuro PT who said she thought my neck pain and stiffness were being driven by my
dyskinesia
and that I needed to reduce the
dyskinesia
before we could improve my neck.

I was told caplypta has less side effect of weight gain but is also associated with developing tardive
dyskinesia
? it’s a relatively new med on market since 2020. is anyone currently taking it?

Rytary?
Due to
dyskinesia
he told me to try reducing my Rytary from 245.Mg to 195s., since I already had some at home. I did fine on that until recently. I don’t know if the excess is just leaving my body or what the issue is. But for the past two days my symptoms have not been under control.

Dyskinesia with MP
Think I'm overdosed n having
dyskinesia
. My questions: 1. Is still worth while to experiment?. 2. Is there any preferred time to take mucuna? 3. Is it recommended that we take a break from c/l and take MP? 4. How long is MP half life and when can I expect the drug to be out of my system?

My journey with Parkinsons and FUS
My right hand had significant tremors and my right leg had developed dystonia and I had developed
dyskinesia
as well in my right foot. I also had developed rigidity making it difficult to turn in bed. On the left side I had tremors in my left hand and foot.

Interesting Gender Research Findings RE: Levodopa Absorption Rates
As a result of this higher absorption rate, women also had higher levels of levodopa-induced
dyskinesia
. Of note younger people also tend to suffer more from

Graph showing levodopa levels during the day: on/off and dyskinesia
And, if you know, your levodopa induced
dyskinesia
threshold, you can see the times at which
dyskinesia
is likely to occur (the horizontal red line). You can also see the effect of stacking where the peaks increase slightly during the day.

and helps "on" time a bit. No side effects that I know about. I tried Entacapone before that and it gave me bad dreams. My questions are; 1) Have you used it? 2). Did/does it help?

C/L induced dyskinesia - severe wrist pain
My mom has severe wrist pain due to Carbidopa Levdopa induced
dyskinesia
(25/100 x 3 times per day). Otherwise she is fine without any tremor. She says after C/L intake the pain is unbearable in her wrist. Infact, we can see inflammation (redness) in the wrist area.
