Pursue this urgently with your consultant or GP. I know what I would do but we are not qualified to give advice on medicines. I have been on this drug in its early days with no problems.

I would stop this drug immediately, while not as frequently toxic as Amioderone, it can have many of the same effects. You need seen by a physician urgently. Best etheral

I have PAF and was put on Drondarone. I took it for 8/9 days

I went from episodes very 3-4 weeks to everyday! So for me it was a complete disaster. I am back on Soltalol it’s still taking a while to settle down.

I appreciate for some it is very beneficial, we are all so different.

Hopefully you will get some proper medical advice soon & good luck.

The only person who really knows your heart is your consultant and they can only try and see how you react to the varies meds, so I would hound him/her all day. I have been on many different ones, some work and then run their course and others haven;t worked as well. I was on Amiodarone for 8 months, it caused a few eye issues so was put on Dronedarone 20 months ago and it was worked really well for me with just 2 hic-cups ( stress related ). The old cliché springs to mind " They who shout Loudest " . Wishing you a quick resukt.

I have been on dronaderone for about 9 month. If anything it made my AF worse more frequent and longer. My EP told me to come off it a week ago which I did. I am interested to see what happens I had AF when I came off it. Now just bisoprolol an apixaban. Last episode was marginally shorter. And I had 5 days before the next one longer than 3. Cross fingers. But dronadarone did get my bpm down to mostly under 100. I did not have to come off gradually just stopped.

my problem is I have a Medtronic Micra implant on my ventricular, because I have a low tolerance vagus nerve it is set at 60 beats and if I go below 40 it will kick in . I have a very low tolerance to certain heart meds . Waiting on a call this morning from GP to see if they can contact this new consultant for advice . Thank you anyway .

I would persist in trying to speak to your consultant ASAP. If you cannot get to speak to them maybe call 111 ( if in the U.K.)

I was on Dronedarone for a few months whilst waiting for an ablation and shortly after but no serious side effects.
