Insomnia
I was taking
Doxepin
to help with sleep but she took me off it. Now I can’t sleep anymore! Please I need some advice. I’m scared and have so much anxiety over this. I’m going to call my phychiatrist later.

An Update~
I’m now taking 50mg of
Doxepin
each night to help with Anxiety which has eased things a little, or least made it semi manageable. And (can’t recall if mentioned this) but I am taking Gastrostop capsules, just chemist brand, when needed.

Medication to help you sleep
I was prescribed Melatonin and
Doxepin
to help me sleep. The
doxepin
I take is 100mgs and it's to strong, I wake up feeling drowsy. I decreased it to 75mgs and it's not enough, waking up in the middle of the night.

Medicine for Itching
There is a drug called
Doxepin
that my dermotogist prescribed for my Lupus that works really well on itching. I did not know that the Hydroxy was causing the itching. He said was the strongest medication on the market for Lupus but itching still bad at times. My hair is thinning out.

Still battling ITP at 20 years.... and counting....
I'm doing well, taking
doxepin
(anti-depression 5-10 mg I can get, makes you drowsy or sleepy so take this at 1 hr before bedtime) on a need basis (once in a blue moon after I discovered b-12) since according to doc, stress triggers our auto immune. just be careful for signs of suicidal thoughts. doc

TSH testing and shared decision making??
I usually avoid taking antidepressants as they have previously caused me to lose conciousness (
Doxepin
) or lose consciousness and vomit (Seroxat). Unsuprisingly (well at least to me) they did not cure the depression! Sorry that is my rant for the day done.
