Meditation - A potential case of remission of Parkinson’s disease
We propose that the patient’s long history of meditation practice may have been one contributing factor of this improvement as meditation has been shown to release
dopamine
in the striatum. https://we.tl/t-Cjru4uaGPg

Oxycodone Dopamine Agonist?
So I have just come off of ropinirole for restless leg due to augmentation and I’m now taking oxycodone 5 mg before bedtime. This is really been helping and I was hoping it would be good for the transitioning from Ropinerol. I just read that oxycodone is an agonist. Does this mean I will have augmentation

summary of a visit to my neurologist
We'll try putting you on Requip, a
dopamine
agonist. That should help with your symptoms, and helping your symptoms should help with anxiety, depression. If not, we'll start you on antidepressants as the next step. Im on 2 pills of 25/100 Carbidopa Levodopa a day.

Switching to L-dopa from macuna, from cardopa/levadopa.
It's seems lack of
dopamine
causes Dystonia in my feet/calves, but when taking L-dopa they're slight, when I take cardopa/levadopa Meds Dystonia is severe.

A Chocolate a Day Keeps Depression Away?
Eating chocolate is a pleasurable experience that may affect several neurotransmitter systems, such as
dopamine
, serotonin, and endorphins, implicated in reward pathways and mood regulation.

Everything you need to know about nicotine.
Dopamine
is a brain chemical that affects emotions, movements, and sensations of pleasure and pain. If your brain
dopamine
levels rise, the feeling of contentment is higher. Depending on the dose of nicotine taken and the individual's nervous system arousal, nicotine can also act as a sedative.

The JAMA and the Canadian Fluoride Study. Whose side are they on?
It doesn't take a genius to figure it out and it doesn't take much (in ppm) to build up sufficient damage to your brain cells, your aquaporin channels, let alone your
dopamine
terminals (the bus stops running on time because the terminal is closed down). Take a swig of bleach sometime.

DLB
For example, antipsychotics can hasten disease progression for DLB patients, and
dopamine
replacement therapy needs to be carefully titrated, as high doses can worsen hallucinations. The evidence underpinning this management tool kit is in press at Lancet Neurology.

How I reduced my Parkinson’s meds by 50% and beat my addiction to dopamine
Within a year I was taking the standard medication associated with the disease,
dopamine
in its various forms (levodopa/carbadopa, aka. Sinemet).

Can you take sinemet and sertraline (Zoloft) together ?
He has gene SNPs which mean both his seratonin and
dopamine
pathways are blocked. Sertraline is a seratonin reuptake inhibitor but what do you do if you don’t have seratonin to start with. With
dopamine
you take l dopa. What can you take for seratonin?

How Does Smoking Affect Sleep??
You’ll feel physically terrible, and the lack of
dopamine
in your brain will make you irritable and depressed. Talk to friends about how you’re feeling and ask them to help you stick to your quitting plan. Find local support groups.

L-carnosine
L-dopa is often used as a way to maintain
dopamine
levels in Parkinson’s sufferers. Unfortunately, some of the by-products of L-dopa are neurotoxic (e.g. those containing aldehyde groups).
