Seratonin for resting tremor : could tremor that doesn’t respond to just dopamine need more seratonin?
So low seratonin kicks off the loop or cascade that culminates in low
dopamine
. Would increasing seratonin have a disease modifying affect or just aid in more
dopamine
and reduce symptoms?

Levodopa not helping
Tremor became marked about 18 months ago and he tried a
dopamine
agonist but it made him terribly sleepy so then he was put on Madopar 100/25 twice daily but he has never experienced any diminution in the tremor or improvement in handwriting after a dose and doesn't know if it's worth continuing.

Onset/diagnosis after years
DBS did not have the desired effect; my aunt has electrodes in her brain that stimulate
dopamine
production. After a couple of years of struggling, doctors couldn't make a good diagnosis, left between parkinsonism A typical and msa. At this point, my aunt is hooked up to an apomorphine pump.

My husbands latest poem, called ‘ French Dressing’
With a
dopamine
pill, it may become still. The shampoo is gel it’s so hard to tell I have to confess that I needed much less There’s masses of foam, will it muck up the chrome? At last I am done it’s not been much fun. When did my clothes become sticky and putting them on was more tricky.

Neupro patch advice
It is also a
dopamine
drug and I am so tired I couldn't even recall good or bad but recall some having problems with it. I went with the Gabepentin for now as I have a Mayo referral. Just want some advise from all of you who know from experience. I am just so frustrated with my current Neuro!

Current Status and Future Perspectives on Stem Cell-Based Therapies for Parkinson’s Disease
The loss of a specific cell type, midbrain
dopamine
neurons in the substantia nigra, is the main cause of motor dysfunction in PD.

What to try next?
The neurologist prescribed a low dose of an oral
dopamine
agonist but it made him too sleepy. He is now offering a choice between trying Artane, or a Neupro (
dopamine
agonist) patch, perhaps left on only during the day, or commencing low dose Madopar. Does the community have thoughts on this?

Daily consumption of methylene blue reduces attentional deficits and dopamine reduction in a 6-OHDA model of Parkinson’s disease

A case in point is Dr Jonathan Sackner-Bernstein, whose proposition that a
Dopamine
excess within Doperminergic neurons might be toxic and thus responsible for their demise, meets possibly understandable resistance from the long standing neurological orthodoxy.

Titrating off of Ropinirole
Is it caused by DAWS and the lack of
dopamine
or is it a side effect of the Buprenorphine that I'm taking? Is there anything that might relieve the mental issues. Sorry for such a long letter. And thanks so much for all your help. Chris

My case is very severe with many previous pharmacologic failures including Alpha 2 Ligands, Buprenorphine and other painkillers, Dipyridamole, full time
dopamine
agonists, diet, and holistic management.

In any case I believe my issue is a combination of low brain
dopamine
and either down regulated GABA receptors or receptors that just don’t function well. I have definitely kept track of my trigger foods and try to avoid MSG, processed foods, and super high oxalate foods.

augmentation on neupro+Gabapentin. should I switch to a different dopamine agonist? All that’s helping is cannabis.
He said his patients tend to need a
dopamine
agonist. What does the research say regarding moving from one DA to another? Would it be worthwhile to try shifting to Requip (ropinirole) ER? I read it’s a 24hr release pill.

Malabsorption of drugs?
I am still awaiting a diagnosis of PA, but do suspect I do have it. My stomach pH level was recently 8.1, so very low stomach acid, which is why I am not absorbing/processing B12, iron and folate. I also did a test which showed I have very low diamine oxidase in my gut so have histamine intolerance.

Goats milk kefir
Hi, Does anyone drink Chuckling Goat kefir? I have had some on and off over the last few weeks, but not consistently so not sure if it helps. It is a very strong kefir that is full of B12. I am not sure yet if I have pernicious anaemia, or whether it is a gut dysbiosis problem as I do not appear to be
