What is the likelihood of it helping where

New treatment after being dropped from Pluvicto.
I was dropped from LU177 treatment in late January and started my first round of
Docetaxel
/Carboplatin on 01/30. Lab results on 02/17 showed my platelet count to be very low so was denied the second round of chemo. We did see a significant drop in PSA from 758 to 611 on that lab.

So Confused
I was taken off
Docetaxel
effective Jan 25th after 4 rounds did not help. My last round was on January 10th along with a Lupron shot. So it's been about 5 weeks of getting no treatments, so the
docetaxel
should be long gone from my system.

Next treatment options available for advancing disease
Docetaxel
or Cabazitaxel. 10 treatments. The oncologist believes the chemo would hit the disease the hardest. I agree but, I am not ready to go through with that again at this moment in time. I would like to enjoy some quality of life this summer. I can wait and have the chemo later. 2.

Docetaxel treatments
What are some various treatments combined with
Docetaxel
? I once read a new treatment mentioned by Rusland developed by a Russian doctor.

Options after chemo?
Anyone here had an unsuccessful chemotherapy experience (with
docetaxel
) but is still making it out ok? What has been your post-chemo treatment regimen? Wondering what more I could ask of my dad’s doc. Note: he’s already enrolled in a Lu-177 clinical trial.

Chemotherapy again?
I completed 6 cycles of
Docetaxel
in March 22, I had a CT scan on 1-15-23 and on the 16th my MO requested pre-approval for
docetaxel
and was approved.

What after docetaxel?
After that the treatment she can offer (NHS) is
docetaxel
, though she is wary of prescribing me that as she thinks I am not strong enough to withstand the minimum of 6 cycles she would wish to see. Even if I do, she thinks my survival might be measured in months only.

My beloved father and best friend has passed away, he will always be my hero.
It seemed as though the
Docetaxel
re-challenge didn't touch the cancer or slow it down at all. When his bladder tumor was resected the new pathology report came back as Gleason score 10.

Time for a vacation, but worried about IADT
As backstory, next month I'll complete the "triple play" treatment plan that included ADT +
Docetaxel
+ Nubeqa + SBRT after recurrent low volume/high risk PSA. At the start of this round my PSA was 0.9 with a 4 month doubling rate and 2 "possible" hot spots on a rib and vertebra.

Docetaxel re-challenge not going so well
Hi all, My father has had 3 rounds going for his 4th round of
docetaxel
tomorrow. Five years ago at original diagnosis was when he had 6 rounds of
docetaxel
and it really worked well.

Reaching the end of treatment, suggestions beyond Docetaxel and Carboplatin.
1st
Docetaxel
in ‘21 held psa down to 8, but further treatments have been with no success. I read once that the steroid to use with chemo could be Dexamethasone 1 mg rather than prednisone 5 mg. Is there a clinical reason why? What next?

In hospital with neutropenia following 1st cycle of Docetaxel. Considering discontinuing Docetaxel, is that reasonable?
PSA < 0.03 in January after 3 months of ADT, pre starting
Docetaxel
. 8th day following 1st dose of Doctaxel, fever, landed in hospital with severe neutropenia. Will be in hospital for 3-4 days. On antibiotics and G-CSF to improve counts. Have trepidation about continuing with

Docetaxel induced febrile neutropenia
Following 1st cycle of
Docetaxel
on 16th Jan 2023, I had an episode of febrile neutropenia (Neutrophil count: 0.07 X 10^9/L) on 25Jan 2023 needing hospital admission and IV antibiotics. I was poorly for 24 hours. Oral ulcers which I had are said to be almost diagnostic of neutropenia.

Failed Docetaxel, just like everything else.
Since becoming mCRPC, I have failed Xofigo, Zytiga, and now
Docetaxel
, all in the past9 months. Does anyone else have a similar story, and is there any real hope for Pluvicto working any better.

Jevtana (Cabazitaxel) before Xofigo (Radium 223)
The
Docetaxel
has not really reduced my PSA and it is climbing. Mets are mainly in the bones. I'd be grateful for any views and experience of this, either internationally or in UK. Thanks
