Anyone here had an unsuccessful chemotherapy experience (with docetaxel) but is still making it out ok? What has been your post-chemo treatment regimen? Wondering what more I could ask of my dad’s doc.
Note: he’s already enrolled in a Lu-177 clinical trial. Would be great to know other CTs that might be good to know about or other treatments if the Lu-177 fails as well.
Currently on docetaxel infusions and looking at possible future treatments. Has your father had genomic testing of tissue/blood? Those results may provide guidance for further treatment. If he does not have a GU medical oncologist, he must seek that level of expertise to advise his treatments. Best
He’s gotten some genomic testing but from all I know, he’s not positive for the BRCA gene. Are there other genomic tests he could do?
Does he have a GU medical oncologist? The doctor will be able review the genetic results and determine if there are treatment opportunities. Or there may be people connected to the testing service which can review the results with the patient.
my father didn’t do so well on docetaxel l. He could try jevtana at some stage. My father is rechallenging a platinum chemo again. I would consider genomic testing at some stage
