Dienogest

What's everyone's experience with zoladex? Especially with bowel endo. Ive been offered it I'm only 22 and not sure if i should. I'm due for laparoscopy this year and would like to feel my best I know everyone is different. Any advice is much appreciated hope everyone is well.

Has anyone been prescribed Dienogest before?

I have been on dienogest for just over a month and have been told after 3 months of taking this pill that all of my problems will go away like nothing was ever wrong with me.

In 2021 I stopped taking dienogest, I was feeling good, and I was doing a keto diet. Everything seemed fine.

Since then the doctor has advised that I take dienogest to stop my period and avoid having another large endometrioma. I was bleeding whilst on dienogest. He moved me to Slinda and I am still bleeding constantly. I would have very light bleeding, and then medium bleeding for two weeks every month.

Now I'm taking ContainsEthinyl Estradiol (30mcg)+ Dienogest (2mg) last 2 years. Am removed 9cm chocolate cyst on 2018 September. But still I have pain in cyst removed area that means right ovary and I have pain in abdominal after urinate.

Has anybody taken Dienogest (Zalkya) 2mg tablets for Endometriosis? I've recently been given these but a week of taking them I feel awful with low mood, tiredness and headaches. I've previously had Prostap but didn't like all the side effects.

Hi. I’m currently experiencing pain in my lower bum and into my groin on one side which is so uncomfortable and at times debilitating. It occurs without fail the day I start my period and lasts between 10-14 days and comes back every single month. I’ve now been prescribed this tablet which I was told

I have now been advised to take Dienogest to suppress return of the disease … or alternatively get the Mirena coil. What would your advice be? I keep reading about people feeling depressed on Dienogest and that frightens me as I greatly disliked the feelings of low mood on Decapapetyl!

The Pills I have been taking is last year are: -Cerazette (0.075mg progestogen) -Mercilon (0.15 mg + 0.02 mg) -Visane (2 mg dienogest) - not a pill, but horrible, I was bleeding for 1 month. I always have a lot of cramps when I'm taking the pill.

He wants me to go on to Dienogest tablets, he said they are a trail drug here, however Australia have found them really good.

I thought I was going to be put forward for a hysterectomy but they suggested 3 months on Dienogest and to have an MRI of pelvis which won't be for 3 months or so, and then go from there... Is anyone else taking Dienogest? Does it help with pain? Thanks 🙂 x

Fortunately, I was prescribed Visanne/Dienogest which would manage the symptoms of endometriosis in the mean term. The events above kickstarted my journey to find proper treatment for my condition in the UK.

My consultant has put me on Dienogest instead of the mini pill. It made me feel like an absolute psycho, my bleeding on it has been absolutely horrendous, hasn’t been this heavy since my first post partum period!

Then in 2021, a BSGE specialist gynaecologist advised that I start Dienogest with Cerelle in combination. The benefit was that the Dienogest did stop my periods.

Hi everyone, My doctor prescribed me Dienogest for endo pain and said it was fine to take it even though I have a mirena coil. However, in the leaflet it says not to take it if you have a coil… does anyone have any idea?

I had an appointment today with my endo consultant, he’s suggested I start taking Dienogest,he said it’s relatively new in the UK but medical data suggests to can work. Have any of you tried it? From what I can see online there’s mixed reviews so I’m not sure what to do for the best.

My specialist has suggested dienogest for my next line of treatment but I am absolutely terrified of the side effects I have read on the internet. I can deal with having low mood, but I am worried about hair falling out or vomiting (I have a thing about being sick)!

I’ve tried dienogest which just turned me into a psycho so not keen to try that again. I’m down for a laparoscopic hysterectomy which I’m ok about but it’s all the bowel surgery that I’m concerned with, especially the stoma and if I’d end up having it long term.
