HELP ON STARTING A CAMPAIGN DUE TO DONOR CHANGE OF MIND
Hi CKD family, my husband is on
dialysis
3 times a week, 4 hours at a time. Doc needed him to have a transplant by Jan next year and we were all systems go with his sister who was a match, same blood group, the majority of tests leading up to transplant commencing in November this year.

What is the lowest point you can start
dialysis
? Mines falling each week. I'm now at GFR 17. I've cut out everything I should and it doesn't seem to be working. The only symptom I really have tiredness and sometimes loss of appetite ( only very occasionally).

Nearing stage 4
I know the numbers vary but I'm only 40&know at some point I'll need a transplant or
dialysis
. I'm waiting for a Rituximab infusion as I have a random autoimmune disease. Was supposed to have it in March but was in hospital for 11 days with a severe asthma attack so it had to get postponed.

Diarrhea concerns
I’m pre-
dialysis
and on Epogen due to having anemia. My concern is that I have severe bouts of diarrhea that will come on suddenly without much warning. What can I do to stem the tide, so to speak, to feel somewhat normal?

low BP on dialysis
I've been on
dialysis
9 years, my BP WAS FINE all these years, even little bit of on the high side, until this couple years that my BP ALL OF SUDDEN WENT TO THE low side, like 100 over 55 all the time, some times it interfered with my
dialysis
, I mean I couldn't pull as much as I suppose to.

Surviving Dialysis
But I saw this statistics on a website and wonder what are some reasons that people die from
dialysis
and more importantly, how to prevent those cases? "After one year of treatment, those on
dialysis
have a
20-25%
mortality rate, with a 5-year survival rate of 35%.

Alternatives to Statins
It works a lot like
dialysis
. Your blood is removed via a needle in your arm. The blood goes through a tube and enters a special filter called a plasma separator, which separates the blood and removes the cholesterol. The cholesterol-filtered blood is then returned to your body.

Preparing for dialysis, scared and confused
Hi, 49 y.o. female. To give a little background on me, I was working in 2008 when I was found to have protein in my urine. Scared and stupid I didn't go back to the nephrologist. Stopped working in 2010, complicated reasons. From 2010 to 2018 health was declining, I kept putting off going to the doctor
