The Queen is here!
I am still not on
dialysis
and I've had my fistula for several months now. It's become so thick and strong. I think it's doing well. I've tried not to worry every day about having to do
dialysis
when the time comes, but I can't help it. I go to the doctor in a few weeks to see where I stand.

7 years plus
I'm trying to re-enter the world and connect with people who share the
dialysis
procedure. I don't really talk much with the other patients because I have seen so many HD friends, and techs come and then go in my 7 years of

These areas on my feet’s worsened after starting
dialysis
. Anyone else experienced this issue? If so any treatment or possible causes investigated. I appreciate your feedback/comments. Thanks.

how to secure CVC port
my 16 year old son just started
dialysis
with a CVC in his chest. What is the best way to secure the red and blue ports when not in use? He is active at school. Thank you for advice!

17 months and counting...
All my labs are were they should be and I have
dialysis
at home. The routine gets a bit monotonous, but that's life.

Dialysis or Transplant?
I have had 19 blood readings of 20 or less (to 11) since May 2021. Currently 14. Exhausted. Fatigued is not the word! There has been no talk of transplant at all. Only Haemodialysis, as I am on my own with no support it would be in hospital. Also it would be in a satellite premises a 1.5 hours

Is this related to the
dialysis
, or is something else going on? Juvenile diabetic, CHF, hypertension. Kidney function been decreasing last 5 years. I've been on transplant list (kidney/pancreas) for one year, was hoping to skip
dialysis
altogether. But here we go.

Yes, definitely
Btw, most people with ckd die from a heart condition before reaching
dialysis
necessity (90%). Healthy diet and exercise greatly reduces cardiovascular risks for 98% of people.

My mil is a 65-year-old woman who has been on
dialysis
for over a year. She has had CKD for 20+ years, along with diabetes, HTN, and arthritis. I was looking for community online support because sometimes we feel information overloaded.

How much salt is good for an elderly CKD patient?
I wonder if it is good advice for an elderly patient according to a study reported in the periodical Nephrology
Dialysis
Transplantation titled "Predictive effect of salt intake on patient and kidney survival in non-
dialysis
CKD: competing risk analysis in older versusyounger patients under nephrology

I need some help with this
iPTH has come way down since I started
dialysis
. most all numbers are stable or better. Except for phosphorus, which got to 7.2. But I have been on a binder for a while now and should be better. I still pee and a lot. Clearance is fabulous. I do not take off any fluid during
dialysis
.

Taking this pill to stop this ack and pain or going on
dialysis
? My choice is to learn this body. It is written that fruit with seeds is for healing. In the beginning, only fruits, vegetables, and garden items were eaten.

Working after transplant
I have a desk job and I can work from home (I do so on
dialysis
days). So there is a lot of sitting. I have a whole list of questions for them on the 21st but I've not seen this one asked/answered.

PD abdomen HUGE
I started manual pd
dialysis
Tuesday and this is now Wednesday eve. Currently on 1500 ml. My abdomen is like I am six months pregnant in two days. Will that be the norm for me now? I expected some bloat but I seem to be up three sizes and hard to sit straight with knees together comfortably.
