Rituximab, given weekly for 4 weeks experiences?
I begin my treatment for cold autoimmune hemolytic anemia, in January 2022 with a single agent of rituximab, given weekly for 4 weeks. This will include dexamethasone with the treatment to reduce any allergic reactions. I know each treatment is different for everyone, but I am wondering what it was like

Hello my bothers and sisters. I wish I could say that this week has been better than last, but that would not be true. There have been some areas of encouragement but not many. As I have been writing these posts I have recognized that I haven't shared this level of detail with my family. I certainly

Post rituximab drop in immunoglobulins
I had severe platelet and neutrophil levels at diagnosis, and they did not recover until 4 days of high-dose dexamethasone after my eighth rituximab infusion. I am now back in mild neutropenia and my immunoglobulins have dropped below the lower limit of normal. Have othes seen this?

Chemotherapy Maintenance
I have now just started chemotherapy maintenance with Pemetrexed. Hopefully the side effects won't be as bad as the combination I've just finished. Still on the Prednisolone for the inflammation of my right lung due to Radiotherapy side effects. On a reducing scale now but stopped for a couple of days

Losing my determination
I was diagnosed with NSCLC in mid 2019 after extensive tests at a hospital with a specialist dept for diagnosis and forward treatment. One primary tumour in each lung and 2 lymph. They passed me over to the Oncology dept once diagnosis was complete. First was Pembrolizumab which gave a tangible improvement

Hello Everyone, Hoping you are as well as can be. 10 days ago I finished WBRT. Newly diagnosed bechets
Hi all, Iv been back and forth between rheumatologist, eye consultants, dermatologist and the rest for over a year and a half now. Firstly they thought it was lupus, then porphyria, then a few others chucked in the mix - now I’m finally down to bechets with a small possibility of periodic syndrome.

Treatment study
My oncologist mentioned a study that is going on, it uses a PSMA PET scan to locate the cancer cells then uses a tracer to kill the cancer, anybody heard of this? Going for another ct/bone scan in January, last one was june of this year. On arbitrone with dexamethasone, the readings has gone from .7

Rising PSA after chemo, next steps?
My husband, 67, was Dx with high volume aggressive metastatic PC in April. PSA was 72.8. Started degarelix, had 6 sessions of docetaxel, added abiraterone in August, consolidative SBRT in September. Lowest PSA was 0.99 right after chemo, in August. In September, 1.12, October 1.87, and now in November

Need advice
Hello everyone, My father’s PSA has been increasing since last year. His PSA went from 0.34, which was taken 3 months ago to 0.53, which was analyzed today. My dad’s scans in the summer showed no progression thankfully. However, after today’s appointment, my dad’s doctor wants him to start chemo but

Palliative use of Dexamethasone in advanced metastatic prostate cancer.
What is the consensus on using Dexamethasone as a pallative option in advanced metastatic disease. I am Stage 4 currently trying a final try on chemo (forgot name). I get doses every 3 weeks. At that time they give me dexamethasone to help me feel good for a couple of days before chemo effects kick in

Natural alternatives to dexamethasone/steroids for anti-nausea prior to chemo?
Hi. I start my new treatment on Friday. It’s routine they give dexamethasone prior to I/v chemo for nausea. I don’t want steroids. Does anyone else have suggestions for other meds/natural alternatives? TIA x

Palliative care - medications and routine
While most of our forum is focused on treatment, I thought it would be helpful for others to post our palliative care routine. Our current treatment has made a huge difference and greatly improved quality of life. My dad declined very suddenly with PCa on July 17. He has a unique situation with daily

Some questions answered, some answers questioned, and Chemotherapy scheduled.
I exchanged emails with the MO over the weekend regarding the combination trials of Docetaxel and Radium 223. Below is a portion of the exchange. Part 1 explains why there was no treatment for 90 days. Part 2 the Medical Oncologist paragraph talks about his familiarity with the Docetaxel/Radium 223
