Hi all
My husband has been on zytiga and Prednisone for advanced prostate cancer, now psa is rising and cancer is spreading.
My question is can dexamethasone be more effective in slowing progression when combined with zytiga?
Thank you

Short answer--------yes---------- extends usefulness of zytiga.
The switch is working for me so far for three months.
I just switched a few weeks ago. Next PSA will tell the tale. Seems it can be effective in 62% of cases. When effective, can last from 5 to 20 months. Just kicking the can down the road.
Was in the same situation. Zytiga and Prednisone not working. Tried Zytiga and Dexamethasone, unfortunately also didn't work. Really hopes it does for your husband.
