Needing some input after gastroscope
Hi all: So I had a gastroscope yesterday and today I’m riddled with extreme fatigue. I’ve had a gastroscope before and never experienced such fatigue. The other times there was an anesthesiologist that gave me drugs to put me to sleep. This time an egotistic doctor informed me the procedure would be

Ferritin
I have just had an Advanced Thyroid Test from Medichecks. My Free T4 and Free T3 may look good but I have been getting a return of my symptoms so have upped my NDT from 2.5 grains to 3. It is my ferritin which I am not happy about. Is it too low? I eat very little red meat which is probably why it is

In hospital take ndt
Hi. Just a question regarding hospital stays and taking unprescribed ndt. I am probably going to be in hospital soon and am wondering what the heck to do about my thyroid s. I ended up in A&E with chest pains and was put on a ward where they took my antibiotics off me and put them in a locked cupboard

Ginkgo Biloba And Drug Induced Parkinsonism
Dr. Mischley has Ginkgo Biloba on her list of PD supplements, but we have not talked much about Ginkgo Biloba (GB) on this forum in relation to PD. I was just looking at the following study which used GB in drug induced parkinsonism (DIP) at a dose of
240 mg/day of GB in three divided doses of 80

At last - comparison of LT4 v DTE(NDT) treatment of hypothyroidism
I can't get the actual poster but what it says is: A recent multicenter, double-blind randomized clinical trial (presented @AmThyroidAssn meeting) involved 284 patients and compared therapy with LT4 vs
desiccated
thyroid
extract
(DTE) for up to 48 weeks.

Morning all I am determined to come off the dreaded pred. and now down to 1mg, hurrah! Although I hurt sometimes, it is not as it was and I can live with it. Are there any tips for alternatives for inflammation? Someone said CBD oil so I bought some Cannery and not sure if it does anything, possibly

Ginkgo trial - Spring 2024 update
For those following (if there are any!) two things to report. Both have been 'strong suspicion' but its time to note them as observations... Between once a week and three times a fortnight, I take 3 x 30mg leaf extract tablets just on the one day for relief from tinnitus the following day (although
