DOES PROMETHAZINE HYDROCHLORIDE CAUSE ATRIAL FIBRILLATION?
I take 2.5 mg Bisoprolol in the mornings and 2.5 in the evenings and 100mg Flecainide as PIP for atrial fibrillation, which I'm not getting frequently at the moment. My GP has prescribed 10mg Promethazine Hydrochloride to help with sleeping, but I've read that it can cause fibrillation and flutter.

So do you think

I am sure this has been flogged to death numerous times...but...the no vs a little beer or wine issue. The general consensus is..zero..none..ever. BUT, I have always enjoyed a glass of Merlot or a glass of IPA on occasion. I am not, not ever have been a person who has more than 3 or 4 drinks in the course

Amiodarone ... ahead of potential cardioversion ...
Hi All I haven't posted for a while as I've been awaiting developments in my AF treatment. Diagnosed 18 months ago, nearly 57 years old, been suggested by cardiologist to try amiodarone before a potential cardioversion but the side effect possibilities worry me greatly, has anyone got any experience

Atrial fibrillation
Have any of you been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation during your PMR journey? Last weekend I had heart palpitations and in a panic my husband called emergency services and the paramedics took me to hospital where I was stabilised and diagnosed with the above! They wanted to start me on anticoagulants

Fish oils
I thought I’d best ask the information department of the place I get my Fish oil and plant sterols supplement about any problems with my PAF, their reply is: Hello Angela, Thank you for your email. Our fish oil products are not known to be contra-indicated with any heart conditions such as atrial

Can afib sufferers live normal lives ?
Having had a diagnosis of afib from January . Im 53 and now taking 40mg verapamil 4 times a day since mid February I've read as much as I can about afib ...all the treatments and life changes and the posts regarding ablation ...to have or not to have . Bisoprolol dosage
Hi All, I am currently on 2.5 Bisoprolol due to ectopic beats (22k after a week wearing monitor) a few months ago. I just seem to feel worse on the tablets, tight heavy chest and palpitations still present. I feel ok in the morning and take the tablet at lunch time and shortly after my heart feels

Paul's update
Hiya all. Well I'm right back in it. Feel really poorly TBH. Never have I felt as bad as this with afib. Still after being in sinus for a few years it's be to expected I guess. It will pass as my body adjusts to my new heart rate. 80 bpm one minute and 57 the next. The Bisoprolol knocks you for six but

Surgery and blood thinners.
Hi guys this isn't heart related I guess, but just hoped I can get some advice. I have just been told I have a bad Diastasis Recti and the doctor says I need surgery. I haven't had any surgery since being put on blood thinners so am a bit concerned. Also not sure how surgery will react with my ICD. Thanks

Where do I go from here? Afib or arythmia any difference?
Editing my post as no replies.Never known this but maybe too muddled. Until 31st of January I had Paroxysmal AF with only 2 attacks in 18 months. This changed from 31st January. At first a typical afib attack .Feeling faint, dizziness, unable to walk around the house without being breathless. This

Fed up
I feel awful still and I am putting a lot down to the beta blockers, my Drs answer is to persevere a bit longer and to increase my stomach medications. I'm not too happy but seems I have no choice, but if the beta blocker is exacerbating stomach issues which in turn has set off palpitations a couple

Return to Afib with a vengeance
Had two ablations the last one September 2020. Have taken Apixaban and 1.25mg Bisoprolol after reduction from 2.5mg. About December/January i stopped taking any Bisoprolol and after maybe 6/8 weeks I noticed when taking my BP I missed a heart beat every 30 or so. Instead of discussing with the Cardiologist

Slow pulse
My husband was in hospital for five days and on discharge was told AF. He had to go back on appointment for angiogram and was diagnosed with Arrhythmia. Now has low pulse between 40 and 50. Feeling tired but has two months before follow up. Should we let doctor know of such low pulse
