Neuro patch
I am having
DBS
surgery this fall, but in the meantime, am taking 10 Sinemet 25/100 tabs daily. On/off periods are the norm, so I am considering wearing the patch. Looking for anyone with experience (good/bad) with the patch.. Thanks!!

DBS...feeling pressured & can't decide!
During my last apt., I was very surprised when my Neurologist highly suggested the
DBS
surgery. In 2 wks I go for my brain scan & interview with Surgeon & Psychologist, but not sure I'm ready for this or if I want it.

DBS Denied. Any recourse?
My sister was denied
DBS
after having been told she was an ideal candidate. The neuropsych evaluator decided she didn't meet the criteria. Initially she was told she would have to wait 6 months to be reevaluated, then it was a year.

Lactulose or Movicol?
I know this has been written about before, but which is best for Ibs c? I was put off lactulose before so have never tried it, as it apparently causes bad gas and pain (not sure if it contains lactose too), but now another doctor has suggested trying it. I use laxido (movicol), but not constantly.

Upper left abdomen pain (ibs and ibs-d)
Hi there, I'm 17 and just over a year ago I was diagnosed with IBS. Just recently I've been having quite severe pain under my left breast in the abdomen area near the upper ribs. I do take colofac and buscopan and they don't seem to be helping. Also, for the past month i have been having IBSD non-stop

elevated CA 19-9
Does anyone here have elevated CA 19-9? This is a cancer marker for Bile duct and/or Pancreas.I have slightly elevated Ca 19-9, slightly elevated AMA M2, slightly elevated Pancreatic enzyme but LTFs and MRCP are normal (except moderately enlarged bile duct which may be caused by gallbladder removal).

Lifetime constipation sufferer. So glad..
To have found this forum. Another day of excruciating pain and trips to the bathroom. Currently on a daily dose of lactulose but it just isn't working as well. Will be so glad for the support received here and to be able to offer some too! How we suffer with this and how lonely it can feel. Good to

Deep Brain Stimulation
Months ago, I underwent
DBS
surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation at Barrows Neurological Institute, Dr. Francisco Ponce.
DBS
delivers minute electrical stimulation to specific areas of the brain via a surgical implant similar to a heart pacemaker.
