US Healthcare vs NHS
Over the next 3 months I was able to make appointments with and see my family doctor, a cardiologist, an electrophysiologist, I had appointments for a stress test, two CT scans, numerous ECGS, a Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and finally a
Cryoablation
procedure, all within a span of 3 months.

In 2018 I had a
cryoablation
and got off the Sotalol which was replaced by 2.5mg of Bisoprolol to help with BP. I have not had AF since which has been wonderful. In March of this year I developed atrial bigeminy and was in this rhythm almost incessantly.

Using the correct terminology - being fussy!
Almost everybody refers to a (my iPad won’t do bold on this site)
CRYOablation
as a CYROablation. The ‘Cryo’ refers to the freezing method of the ablation. There is no such thing as a ‘cyroablation’. I know it’s being fussy but it’s driving me mad ☺️

When is a second ablation advisable?
I received a
Cryoablation
on March 16 of last year (2022). I had two afib episodes a month or so after the ablation which was explained as being in the "Blanking Period". Arter that, I was Afib free for over a year until just three weeks ago. After my Ablation I have still been on 50 mg.

problems after cryoablation
Been having horrible flips after I eat. Now I don't want to eat. It has been over a year after ablation and now this!I ate over 2 hours ago and still having problems. Is this ablation starting to fail?

Post Cryoablation 2 weeks
I am getting discouraged about chances that my procedure was a success. I have had 5 different episodes of AFIB in the last 2 weeks. 3 only lasting a couple of hours, but I feel like I am on an AFIB rollercoaster. I will see my EP on May 7. I would like feedback from the group. Thank you

When I got home grabbed my Kardia and sure enough "possible atrial fibrillation", scheduled a second cardioversion for April10, on table, hooked up, in and out of afib...of course doc says cardioversion won't do any good, went home with scheduled

Week 3 Post Ablation
21 days has passed since my
Cryoablation
. I have had 10 separate episodes of AFIB. Some just a couple of hours, sometimes 2 in one day. I understand that I am in blanking period. my question to the group, when an episode starts, what action do you take?

Ablation success
I had PAF, had a 4 vessel PVI
cryoablation
in Mach of 2018 and am off all meds and Noacs. Besides a few episodes that last 2-5 seconds or an occassional PVC, I am doing great. Anyone else out there with a success story? Thanks’

lung cancer & phelgm
I started a tougher chemo regiment with immunotherapy and completed 8 of the 12 treatments before taking a break for
cryoablation
. During the procedure, my tumor bled and a frozen blood clot formed. The clot lodged in such a way that it caused me to go into cardiac arrest.

living emotionally and mentally with afib
They gradually increased to the point that I had
cryoablation
last September. That helped in that they are more mild and less common. Lately they have been increasing in frequency so I am having a cardioversion on 4/25.

flecainide question
I’ve had two ablations (
cryoablation
, and RF). After a year living symptom free, AF episodes have recurred. However, following , two reversions to NSR via Flecainide and Bisoprolol as a ‘pill in the pocket’ intervention, it’s not working now.

Ablation Booking
He has suggested that I proceed with a
Cryoablation
, I am booked in for 6 months from now. His rational was that an AF sufferer should have an ablation as part of the management of AF, not to rely on meds solely. Keen to hear peoples thoughts, I am quite happy to have an Ablation.

Ablations history
where the ablation should be done, they did it and at the end of the procedure they did stimulation for any arrhythmia and unfortunately atrial fibrillation and other atrial tachycardia that I didn't notice came out and they decided that after 7 days they would redo the ablation with carto and ane (

Two weeks post ablation
While I was waiting for a
Cryoablation
I gained a lot of help and insight from reading other people’s first-hand experiences. So, having had my ablation two weeks ago this is my experience to date.

cryoablation
Had my
cryoablation
15 months ago and went through the usual recovery with the help of all you nice folks. So I need some more help. The past 3 weeks my flutters have been returning. I've been stressed lately and I'm sure that helped to start them.

Post Ablation
Had my
cryoablation
yesterday at Wythenshawe under Ian Temple, so just thought I'd give a brief summary. I arrived at 7-30 and went into theatre around 12. My blood pressure was high all day, white coat syndrome perhaps.

afib/svt
I had ablation for svt around 7 years ago and then
cryoablation
for afib 6 years ago. I am taking both a blood thinner and a small dose of beta blocker While I have felt an occasional off beat it wasn’t until Friday that I entered tachycardia of around 109.
