Cortisol and ACTH low? I'm so confused now.
Hi all, I also have Primary Aldosteronism and no thyroid (goitres). I am back on T4 100mgs a day. I am meant to be on 10mcgs T3 also. I do not have any new thyroid hormones tested other than one than these on 14/5/19. I became under medicated because I couldn't raise the T3 I was on and hence back

Has anyone had to go off NDT and back on T4 only...?
I suppose HRT is partly to blame, especially since I've taken progestin which is known to cause weight gain, as well as high doses of
cortisone
that I took for six weeks.

Pre test help needed re: adrenal and hypothyroid
Could anyone please tell me what meds and/or supplements to drop pre blood and saliva testing for TSH, FT3, T4, DHEA, and cortisol? I'm also getting my B12, ferritin, folate, insulin and blood sugar, and D3 among other things tested (NHS bloods) tomorrow. I've taken no meds today but did have B12 and

HOW TO GET CORTISONE INJECTION IN THE UK on NHS
I was diagnosed with PMR in February. Then put on prednisone. I have high blood pressure and have read that if one has high blood pressure one should have injections instead of tablets as these have fewer side effects. I can get this privately but my Doctors NHS surgery refuses to let me have injections

Constant Pain in right thigh/hip.
I am now on my 16th specialist, had a nerve block &
cortisone
injections non if which have worked. I have tried to get my doctor to refer me to a blood specialist but after blood tests she says that I don't have APS & I therefore can't be referred.

Low T3 Low Cortisol - bloating / fluid retention
Hi everyone, I have low T3 and really low Cortisol. I've been taking 60mg of pregnenolone for a few months now and am just starting out on T3 at 12.5mcg for a few weeks. I've also been taking 10-20 propranolol, which I've just stopped in the last day. I've just had my first normal range cortisol results

Sacroiliac joint pain
The ortho pain specialist gave me 1
cortisone
injection with minimal improvement. Chiropractic treatment has improved the pain by 50%. Anyone else have one sided pain issues in SI Joint? Trying to figure out is PMR is a culprit here, or is this another old-age pain in the "a##.

I've had copious amounts of painkillers, various bouts of physio, pain clinic support and a number of

Low cortisol levels thyroid hormone levels, especially on T3/NDT
I find this article on low cortisol, and the interaction between thyroid hormone and cortisol, very interesting, especially since it was written by a doctor able to think outside the box: http://hormonerestoration.com/Cortisol.html A few months ago, I weaned myself off Medrol (put on 4 mg daily by hormone
