Extreme reaction to injection at dentist
The mention of adrenaline and today's news about
cortisone
in relation to Covid 19 treatment, has made me wonder whether I am having issues with adrenal glands? I was on 7mgs for over a year and finally reduced to 6.5mgs about four months ago. This reduction saw loss in weight and gain in energy.

Cortisol Test
Just a quick question my endocrinologist has arranged a blood cortisol test at 8:30am on Tuesday. Are the blood and saliva tests the same or is one more accurate than the other? My thyroid results have been off since July this year, I have hypothyroidism and Hashimotos last TSH was 12!

Hi.. I'm new to this site and hoping to get some advice from follow users who have benefited using LDN for very low cortisol. I've been really unwell for the past 3 years. Bed bound at times. Deliberating headaches to extreme fatigue and mood swings, sinus. I also have hypothyroidism and hashimoto.

Whole body inflammation -- is it autoimmune or Lyme?
A month later I finally agreed to
cortisone
shot, which did absolutely nothing. The fluid analysis showed there is inflammation (white cell count was almost 28K with 87% neutrophils, no aerobic organism was detected).

Scientists hail earwax test for checking stress hormone levels
Over the years there has been much discussion about how to measure cortisol. Interesting to read about a new approach. Certainly has the singular advantage over blood testing of being straightforward to get the sample. Not sure quite why they seem to emphasise depression so strongly. I'm sure low cortisol

EP Check Up Today ...
Interestingly he said if I am in a lot of pain or need to have a procedure (like a
cortisone
injection) I can up my betablocker dose for 3 days which will keep my body in a better balance. I’ll see him again in March next year but any dramas I can call or email. Have a great day everyone!

Cortisone shots
My rheumatologist is recommending
cortisone
shots when we get together finally later in this pandemic. Do they hurt? Does the pain last a long time? How long does the relief last? Thank you

Been to hormone specialist...not sure what to think?!
I am new here, but not new to thyroid problems. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2001 after years of symptoms no doctor could explain: high blood pressure difficult to control even with medication, hair loss, high cholesterol, weight gain and fluid retention. Doctors suggested I was eating too much

An update on my tocilizumab experience.
I have an unrelated shoulder injury and have had two
cortisone
injections in six weeks, I know I will not be able to have any more so trying really hard to protect my shoulder and follow my physiotherapist son’s exercises. Thing is, when you feel well, you don’t think you need to do the rehab.

Symptoms on T3
I just started taking T3 a week ago - was on a compounded slow release T3/T4 from the US for most of the year (but labs were awful), and then went back on WP thyroid for 3 weeks before starting T3. On Dr's instructions, I started by reducing 1 grain of NDT, and adding the T3. I've experimented a bit

Cortisones used by NON demyelinating polyneuropathy
Ask this question since , due to Chrohn disease, I regulary need
cortisone
. In these periods my pain caused by the neuropathy is less .... I know its used by inflammatory demyelating neuropathy. That makes sense. Any ideas in this matter ?
