Hello sorry if this question seems daft but I went through BC while in lockdown. I had left Brest removed April 20 and right breast removed Jan 22. I finished all chemo and radiotherapy last year. Now I seem to be left on the shelf. I had no support during lockdown from health services nowhere to go

Sacral mass
I have something called a sacral mass on my sacrum with lesions in S1 & S2 as my metastatic site I’m on Enzalutamide and Zoladex which has kept everything at bay for the last 6 months since diagnosis My concerns are that being where it is it likely to leave me wheelchair bound I can’t get any real answers

Switch of corticosteroids from prednisone to dexamethasone
Diagnosed December 2017, see my profile. Since radiotherapy December 2020, it has taken around fourteen months for my PSA to go from 0.07 to 1.2, with slow and steady progression of about 25% every four weeks. Obviously exponentially, I'd like to make sure it doesn't go from 7 to 1200 the next fourteen

Anyone any experience of PMR,and radiotherapy for breast cancer
Hi, Following diagnosis of PMR in February 2022, I now require radiotherapy after lumpectomy for lobular cancer. I am especially interested in the level of fatigue experienced during radiotherapy. Thanks Jane

Radiotherapy to the chest.
Hi all, me again! Susie and I are having a pretty tough time ATM, she's really struggling to breathe, low O2 so she can't really move. Weve come into hospital again and they have said they will do some radiotherapy to the chest, windpipe, bronchial area to try to reduce tumor and relieve symptoms. Treatment

Prazosin - Game Changer?
BruceSF sent me this message and it looks like a game changer for those trying to prevent recurrence, to me: I’ve been taking Prazosin for 4 years since my radiation therapy, it is a drug that helps urinary flow (same family - alpha blocker - as Flomax) and lowers blood pressure and still have an

Was anyone not offered any treatment?
Hi, I often read here about what treatments people were offered and how they are finding the chemo and radiotherapy. My mum was diagnosed last year with stage 4 glioblastoma to the left side, whichever came completely out of the blue. She was a fit, healthy late 70's lady who was physically still good

Bruising - random, quite deep?
Hi all, just wondering if anyone else here has found they develop occasionally random, fairly deep bruises from time to time, in places where one hasn't (and often _couldn't_ have) bumped? It's faded quite a bit from yesterday when I suddenly noticed it but the picture shows the latest one I've noticed

Treatment Decision
I have been treating my lymph node metastatic prostate cancer ( about 10 abdominal and pelvic nodes) with Lupron since November 2018. Previous imaging were performed with PSA around 0.1 and were clean. On June 1, I had Xray, CT scan, and bone scan one year into ADT break. CT scan found enlarged lymph

New research article about cancer DNA damage repair.

While “DNA repair” may sound like an exclusively good thing, it actually isn’t. This is because the leading anti-cancer therapies, ionizing radiation

News on Pluvicto delayed production
As I was waiting to get my second Lu-177 dose yesterday, I asked one of the Dana Farber people involved with my trial what he knew about the Novartis delay in production. He said an FDA report had just been released, and I found the following with a quick search: https://www.fiercepharma.com/pharma/novartis-surprise-radiotherapy-production-halt-could-be-drawing-close

Number of radiation treatments for prostate cancer
I’m new here and recently diagnosed for prostate cancer. Focused on radiation therapy as likely treatment option. What are pros and cons of number of treatments when considering 5 treatments over two weeks versus 25 treatments over five weeks?
